Seems kind of silly to me. 44 years of Roman numerals and now stop at 50? But I guess "50th Anniversary" crap looks better with a big 5-0 on it, instead of 'L'

i think its lame that they are getting rid of the roman numerals. They've had them my whole football-watching life, and they are probably the only reason most Americans can even translate them.

"Superbowl L" has no zing.

They may have had enough nut stomping.  One can hope at least.

No that's okay, there's no bias,or bad play calling. The first penalty they replay shows is clearly not facemasking, the Sherman not interference, the touchdown out of bounds, the "not" a fumble. I'll not be watching the NFL after this season.

Yes the Hawks haven't been playing well, but come the fuck on.

He knows his team has completely lost momentum.

The only reason they were even in this game was the defense, again.  Big Bad Russ should have spent more time watching film, and less time watching Ciara's ass.

I think it would have been a close game and we have won if we were playing just the Cardinals, and not the Cardinals and the Refs.

Yup, 9-7. The hawks schedule is VERY easy in the second half of the season outside their second game against the cards. I predict they will rack up some wins as a result. Prolly not gonna be enough for a WC birth though. Their offense is sooooo bad this year. Incredibly inconsistent. No way you can count on getting a gazillion strip sacks deep in an opponents territory every game, and they needed those to even make this game close.

I think the seahawks will have a hard second half of the season regardless of their schedule. They play poorly..

Maybe, but a lot of other teams play like crap too.

I think they'll beat the 49ers, rams, ravens, and browns...and then pick up 1 win amongst the tougher games they have left (Steelers, Vikings, Cards), for a total of 9-7. The Cards, if they have nothing to play for in wk 17, may be a good opportunity to win against one of the good ones...though it is on the road and I think the cards would relish the chance to knock Seattle out of the playoffs if that is on the line.

The entire team still isn't acting like they want the wildcard spot.

It is the second half though, when they tend to wake the fuck up.

ETA: wild card spot! Good job kicking it into gear Seattle!
It was nice watching Wilson throwing.

The Steelers were hoping that the refs would blow that Cam Chacoller interception call.
The fuck, what the fuck, what happened to "the ground can't case a fumble" and "out of bounds"."

He caught the ball and was down by contact.

This may be a good thing, back to regular business with pedestrian receivers without the distraction of having to feed a superstar. ?

Pure speculation on my part...

They don't seem to be pushing the passes to him, he made some good plays today.

True, offense looked good today. It may be more about their makeup and psychology?

That's a possibility. Another difference is the Steelers worked to keep Wilson in the pocket vs rushing the hell out of him. Having time to make solid passes paid dividends today.

I think Graham was finally understanding his role in this offense which makes his injury today even shittier.

Legion of boom: 500 yards passing. This is not the defense fans are looking for. Sticking with 9-7. If the steelers had played pass defense better than a middle school team they would have rolled in that game. There was at least 5 pass plays where receivers didn't have a defender within 10 yards of them when they caught the ball.

I still stand by my Superbowl Bound vote the day this thread was started.

Also, why doesn't the NFL fire all the bad refs instead of just moving them to officiating different teams?

Looks like the sea chickens may be able to make it to 10-6 after all. Their schedule is REALLY easy the rest of the way, especially if the Cards have nothing to play for in game 16.

Just looking around the NFC, the only teams that are demonstrably better than Seattle right NOW are the Panthers and the Cardinals. It looks like they will get in the playoffs, win one game, and then lose to one of those two. Just a guess. In the NFL playoffs ANYTHING can happen.

On KIRO 710 today, I heard what basically sounded like 'don't look back', which I tend to agree with.
The Seahawks are evolving, and whatever players are out or gone now, they are still going strong.
Bringing anyone back ( save for Unger, which won't happen now... ) needs to be ADDED to the current mix, not revisited.

I sincerely hope the Seahawks are on a roll to the end.
That would be awesome and somewhat unprecedented in the NFL.

GO, 'HAWKS!

Since the game would be in NC, I'd pick the panthers. If Seattle keeps rolling, and the game was in Seattle I might pick them...not that my pick matters to anyone. In NC? I'm going Panthers.

The offense has stepped it up, no doubt about that....but in the playoffs injuries to Lynch and Graham may finally reveal themselves to be negatives. Who knows though, maybe not. If I was a seachickens fan, I'd be more worried about the defensive secondary than anything else. Palmer especially will carve them up if they don't pick up their game.
