Good racing. The leaders were running just a tenth or two under the track record. Close to 110 mph avg on a 1/3 mi dirt track, and they probably hit 130 on the straights. They put new dirt down last month, and turns 1 and 4 had slight low density spots. The cars dug depressions in those spots, and ended up bouncing hard. Several flips in turn 1. Cars run ~850 HP V-8's on methanol, with a minimum weight with driver of ~1,500 lb. On 1/2 mile tracks, they average 140-ish, and likely hit 160+ on the straights. Outlaws also run at Elma every year.
