Years ago, a friend of mine was researching this same topic. His idea was that we would get the appropriate certifications so we could charter a boat in the Caribbean so our families could vacation together. Our wives didn't like the idea. (Mine gets seasick, his is lazy.)
However, in his research he came up with Puget Sound Sailing Institute in Tacoma. |

You could do what I did and just go sailing. Wednesday night racing started last week on commencement bay.
I'm mostly sailing in Seattle these days but if you pm me your phone number I'll call you if I find an open spot. I live in Tacoma too. |
