Well I got my SBR's engraved today. (2) AR's & (1) AKS-74u

Two hour drive each way from Stanwood to Auburn in traffic...., but it turned out to be well worth the drive!!

Trevor put my Trust Name, City & State in one line along the bevel/flare inside of the magwell on the AR's.
And on the AKS-74u he put it on the under side of the receiver, left of, and runing parallel to the trigger.
Great job & very unobtrusive all around!!

Badda-bing badda-boom!...., 35-40 minutes later, all three SBR's are engraved & I'm back on the road.

I highly recomend Trevors services!!

How much?

Cost was $110 total

$35 each on the AR's (Aluminum) and  $40 for the AKS (Steel)

He charges a hair more for steel receivers because the machine has to make more passes.

On the magwell lip is a pretty damn cool location for the MFR information!  My only concern would be repeated, slightly mis-aligned mag changes with metal mags.  But who uses those anymore, everythings polymer these days!

As the engraving is in there .008 - .012 min, even bumps and dings should not hurt it.

What GeneticPyro said!

.008" to .012" is almost 3 to as much as 4x the minimum required depth of .003"..., highly doubtful it would ever be an issue!

Best guy to deal with, hands down. Everything I've had him do for me so far is excellent. Very high quality work. I still have to have a few more pieces done. Maybe even my tubes for form 1 suppresssors. I was in Auburn yesterday too, wish I had the tubes with me!

That's very clever putting it inside the magwell lip.  I wouldn't have thought of that.  Very unobtrusive.

I have a paper form 1 on an M92 PAP that still has awhile to go. I may go ahead and get the engraving done while I wait. Trevor has a good reputation.

Met up with Trevor Yesterday. Couldn't be more pleased with the results.

Detail:

A little bonus:

Just one pass by the laser on a blackened aluminum card to make that picture.

Had the text engraved on each side of the trigger opening. Others have posted pics of that already.

We seriously need a sticky with the good local shops numbers, I just put in for my first form 1 and will need his contact info when it comes in. Too bad he is so far south, I'm up in Gold Bar, but with all the good reviews I will be making that drive.
