A burglary occurred at my family's home in the Magnolia neighborhood of Seattle between 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM on Tuesday, 11/18/2014.

A silver/white late model Lexus coupe that had never before been seen in the neighborhood was present immediately prior to burglary.

Burglar(s) forced entry by breaking a window in the backdoor and manipulating the deadbolt from there.

A large quantity of jewelry was taken, as well as at least 2 firearms:

- Serial # NZC875 (matching slide and frame)

- Caliber 9mm

- Warren Tactical / Sevigny tritium sights

- 4x mags, at least 1x loaded w/ 90gr frangible handloads

- Factory hard case (one locking tab broken off and left behind during theft)

- very low round count / almost new (~500?)

AR-15 rifle

Marked:

PWA

MILAN, IL

CAL. 5.56MM

COMMANDO

SER. 30671

- flat top upper with Daniels Defense 12.0 rail, AK concepts brake (Duracoated FDE color), and Colt 1/7 twist mil-profile barrel

- 4X ACOG with red chevron (TA31F), SN: 92470 on flat top mount

- extra White Oak Armament "Service Rifle" upper with "pinned" 1/4 MOA NM sights and WOA heavy 1/7 twist barrel, with WOA free float tube under USGI style handguards.

If you have reason to believe you know the whereabouts of any of these items, please contact me and the Seattle Police Department Robbery unit. Reference: General Offense #14-386602

I will personally provide a significant cash reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

almost always it's someone who has recently been in the house or knows the family and knows to target the home.

has the family had any visitors lately? handymen? babysitters? cleaning service? utility repair?

No recent non-family visitors. Cable has been setup and working for 10+ years, no recent contractor work, etc.

Vehicle was unusual for the neighborhood (rare to see cars that do not belong to neighbors) and behaving unusually (driving down alleys, not on main street).

Jewelry appeared to be the primary target, with the 2 firearms just being a bonus target of opportunity, but hard to say for sure.

Very sorry about that.
