If I was a Vegas odds maker I would set the odds of completion of the tunnel at 10% success - 80% complete fail ( taking side bets on the extra 10% WTF factor in them coming up with someother screwball idea ) Odds of it being completed anywhere near the cost estimates 0% |

Even though I support the legalization of it, I thought the whole "Petey Holmes" thing was hilarious. The law says you're not supposed to be doing it in public areas such as parks - the same as openly consuming booze there. Cop was just enforcing the law.
Seattle does indeed love their bums. They make the city disgusting. |

The option to tunneling was trench and cover. They chose to tunnel but guess what, they STILL had to do sea wall replacement, which could have been accomplished simultaneously, almost as a byproduct, of trench and cover. And Seattle only has added taxes sufficient to get the sea wall replacement up to the Aquarium, not the full length needed. Seattle is mentally ill. Close to me, they opened a shelter, but don't require sobriety. So now the homeless addicts are causing problems, and the emergency services are being depleted by this "helpful" place.

Curious to see how fast they run her up after the repairs. Getting her to the repair pit they slowed it down to 1/6 speed and inched along... So far behind at this point, they may just creep along to the finish line to avoid any more repair delays... What a mess.
