wouldn't be the first time ATF changed their mind and 'unapproved' things. Sorting all the data from NFA tracker suggests that approval-to-received-stamp times should be much less than what is being reported here. If you got approved on 9/8 and haven't got a stamp yet....something may be wrong. Dunno what, but that's way way above average. View Quote Yeah but statistics often have outliers. The atf isn't unapproving them. That said still don't have mine I don't understand the inconsistency displayed by the NFA branch. Some folks get theirs coast to coast in 4 days. Others take 16-22. Wtf ATF? That tells me they sit on someones desk for 2 weeks after they are completed before being mailed out. |

I'm just being impatient. A month ago I was resigned to not seeing a stamp until 2015....then efiles started coming back in a month, and paper forms in 3...and I got my approval on 9/12 so I started getting excited about the whole thing. I'm sure it'll be here in a few more days. At least I hope!

So, does anyone have an engraver recommendation on the west side of the mountains north of I90? Say, Bellevue or north of that?

Yeah man, I read the thread too, I'm sure he's a great guy, and it looks like great work; but Auburn is just too far south of Bellevue (where I work) or Kirkland (where I live) for me to just drop it by after work, if there is another option. If that's it, because we live in an eternally blue state, then so be it, but it was worth asking the question. |

Might have to work something out one of these weekends as I've been traveling to Aberdeen/Raymond/Shelton during the week. Stupid work! |

I still have to get the ball rolling on my Form 1, sadly a divorce has distracted me ugh.
Kind of funny, I have two friends that work for different gun shops and both are trying to convince me that it isn't legal to construct the SBR in this state and that they have "insider" information. Cannot help but laugh as one even went as far as to state the approved E-file Form 1s were approved in error. Here is hoping I'll be able to file before the end of November and have myself a Christmas present |

Quoted:Maybe ours fell into the same black hole together. I'm at 18 days.
Bout to say fuck the 30 days and just send the request for the certified copy. Bet they would send it without saying anything too. View Quote x2. Just checked the mail, still no stamps. I'm at 15 days now. Maybe by next Friday? I dunno...but I do know that the longer this goes on, the more paranoid I get that "something" has happened to WA F1s and they are holding them. |

Received the stamp for the paper Form 1 (approved 9/8) on 9/23.
Still waiting on approval for the eForm 1 submitted 8/29. Almost a month now, when they had been taking 3 weeks... but I'm sure their electronic volume has increased substantially.

E-Filed my Form 1 on 29AUG
Just received the approval e-mail today, 30SEP. |

same here, nuttin' in the mailbox. I guess this is one more reason why e-file is infinitely superior to paper forms. Doesn't really matter how fast things are approved if they NEVER mail you anything afterwards.

day 19: notta.
This may be a plot by the ATF to make even more money. This sloooooooooooooooooow mailing bullshit really makes me want to e-file / SBR a lower I have in my safe, just so I don't have to worry about crap being mailed back on it. Not even sure I want an SBR AR... |

I decided the other day an AR makes more sense it can be a .22 or any other caliber I can get to fit inthe magwell. |

yeah, I have no use for a short bbl 556 gun. Lots of people have/love them, but as much as I like the 556 I consider it to be borderline effective when it comes to determined attackers, so a slow-moving 556 (from a short bbl) is pretty un-appealing to me generally. That said, a 300 AAC and/or 458 socom is actually pretty desirable. As if the whole slow-556 thing wasn't an issue, the Tavor has kinda ruined me on supposedly-short ARs, that really don't seem very short anymore. Still, a registered lower that would allow me to use short 300/458 uppers / suppressors would be pretty wicked. I'm still pondering, but I'm prolly going to register one of my spare lowers...
Crazy thing is, if I had e-filed the day I got approved on my paper forms, I might have got my e-file approval before my physical stamps would arrive. joe: that's good news, congrats man! keekle: my fingers are crossed for ya buddy, your number has to be comin' up soon! |

Eform submitted 8/29 approved via email this morning, 10/2. Almost too easy... :-)

Stamps arrived yesterday for three paper form 1s. Approved 9/12. Keep hope alive!
|
|
Stamp came today. Approved sept 8th, post marked sept 29th.
Just happy to have it though. |
|
same here! Must have been a big batch on the 29th, mine is postmarked that day also. No idea why it takes 17 days to mail a letter (let alone 21!!!)....but whatever. It's all good now! AK pistol, 10" bbl Thompson, and stocked G34 here I come!!!
|
|
Who was your examiner? Mine was Jason Bowers.
I wonder if there is a common denominator. |
|
yeah, that scribble looks like it says Jason Bowers.
I'm definitely gonna e-file any future form 1s if I can. Think I will go ahead and do the AR lower I have to make a 300 AAC. That can wait a little while though, right now I need to start collecting SBR-making parts. I just ordered my new Thompson bbl. Can't wait to get it. No tommy should ever have a bbl longer than 10"!!! |

I had my lowers engraved by Trevor this weekend. He's a great guy to deal with and I highly recommend his services. Once you see what the laser engraver is capable of, you'll start thinking of projects far beyond a couple of lines of text.

Anyone received an eForm back lately? I submitted an eForm on 9/4 and haven't received a response....
|
|
Got my form 4 purchase stamp back on Tuesday. Even those are speeding up. Curretly a 14.5" 5.56, but I'll probably build a 6.8 SPCII 11-12" upper for it as well.
Might have to do a form 1 can. |

I efiled a sbr form 1 last night, and talking with a family friend today (retired Leo) he was under the impression that "building it" myself is illegal. I looked up the rcw and its worded, well screwy.
Called the atf for advice, they told me wa was on "hold" for sbr's. (That I don't really believe) I have a call into the state AG. (Waiting to here back) What's going on? Or am I reading the rcw retarded? |
