I submitted my Form 1 May 5th and got the stamp Sept 5th. When I saw the envelope I was completely expecting a reject since I had jumped the gun and sent it in before the law went into effect, but was very presently surprised.

I didn't submit one with my form 1 via trust and it was approved and that was on paper not efile. |

Apparently I'm going to be the last person in the damn state to get approved. Maybe it's because a guy named "Jason Brown" is on the FBI 10 most wanted list???

F1 SBR.
Submitted 17 AUG 14 Approved 11 SEP 14 efile still shows "submitted" water mark, so I used ask an expert to send an email requesting assistance just now. ETA: Stamp in hand 15 SEP. I'm a few hours ahead of EST, so the email & F1 attachment hadn't been generated yet. maybe an F1 suppressor next... |

I got mine back. Submitted 6/21, cashed 6/27, approved 9/5, received 9/10.
I just hope they don't get my cancelation letter and hack my paper form 1 to pieces. I called and told them to cancel the eform and keep the paper one. Let's hope reality and common sense rule over a letter pre-dating my phone call saying "do this, not this." |

Mailed 3 paper Form 1s on 6/12 (or 6/13 can't remember), went pending July 17, 2 approved on 9/12 (not yet received the forms back), 1 still pending.

Kinda what I was thinking. 9/12 was a Friday... and I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't really go out until earlier this week. No worries. It being approved was the big hurdle. It's all down hill from here!!!

View Quote I think a lot of folks are using: http://nwgunlawgroup.com/ They have multiple tiered based system depending on your needs. I'm gonna be upgrading to silver here in the future. Just don't use the automated form, pay the extra for the manual entry, otherwise you don't get to pick the name of your trust and it will be the "First Name Lastname Gundocx Trust" which is an eyesore. |

yeah, I messed up and did the automated thing. Good thing I can edit pdfs!

I was given a template from another arfcommer several years ago and have used the original for 3 Form4s and made up a few more recently and filed a Form1 with the new one , has a much shorter name for engraving purposes. |

I did my own. 2 of them. Long-named one for suppressors. Newest one for engraving on SBRs. Not hard to do.

just DL'd the NFAtracker xls, then sorted the data such that I could see a list of trust/F1s sorted by approval date. Since the start of September, stamps have been received within 10 days of approval in the vast majority of cases. There were a couple of outliers though, so yeah, I wouldn't be worried yet either if I was you. If it takes longer than 2 weeks, then I'd start to get nervous...

I submitted a full month before you, and didn't get approved until 4 days after you did. Still no stamp either. Compared to recent NFA tracker data, the time it takes them to go from "approved" to "stamp received" seems inordinately long right now. Historical avg is slightly less than 10 days, but a LOT of people that got approved in early September are still waiting. I hope this isn't the much discussed "hold" on WA applications... |

Plenty of people have been posting in this thread all summer (up to current day) about their approvals. NFATracker has been showing the same as well. |
|
[#50]
wouldn't be the first time ATF changed their mind and 'unapproved' things. Sorting all the data from NFA tracker suggests that approval-to-received-stamp times should be much less than what is being reported here. If you got approved on 9/8 and haven't got a stamp yet....something may be wrong. Dunno what, but that's way way above average. There are flukes, I saw a few people in the 20+ days range, but we have two people in this thread still waiting to receive stamps approved on 9/8. That crap should be here by now. Not like they are being delivered by pony express. Hell, pony express WOULD be here by now!!
