I noticed on the SeaFair page they list firearms as a prohibited item, does this fall into the "outdoor music festival" category?  or is this just Seattle being Seattle and overstepping their bounds.  I just want to make sure i am on the right side of state law if I ignore the signs.

Pure guess here, but it's likely that Seafair is a separate organization, who is renting the park areas, and thus can set their own policy.

Bingo.

So it would not be against any law and the worst they could do is "ask you to leave"  that is pretty much how I have read the law... I have no problem ignoring that.
