Howdy!

I'm looking for a place where I can get some steel raw material and also some fabrication shops in metro Seattle (north and east more convenient).   Need to do some tube bending and welding.

Some place that builds car frames or similar.  It's a one-time project, not a future production.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Their website shows they are Jeepers...  will give them a call.

Thanks!

I'm a GMC man, so I'd count that as a strike against them...but to each their own.

It's OK.  No one is perfect.

Write to thank for the recommendation and a quick ad for them.   Olympic 4x4 did a great job and I'd recommend them for anyone who wants to do some mods on their rigs.

I normally install and maintain my Jeep but do not have a welder neither enough experience to do a good job myself.

you know what they say about Jeeps, 'proudly sporting axles that GM guys throw away!'

Kidding aside, I'm glad it worked out for ya!

Art Morrison isn't too far away, they can supply tubing and bend it. I have a hydraulic jd2 bender I could possibly loan with a deposit or maybe sell it. 1.5" and 1.625" dies.

On a somewhat related note, anyone know where to get a good price on a Millermatic 211?

I think cyberweld? Usually has the best price but central welding has offered to match the price for me before. I have a 180 and was looking to upgrade a while back.

Thanks folks!    I was looking for the fabricator because I not do much of this stuff.  Actually this was the first time I needed to weld something on my Jeep, hence buying a welder and a tube bender wasn't worth it.  Then, renting would not work also because my lack of practice.   Last time I touched welding stuff was in the engineering university more as a part of the class and it was eons ago.

The guy at Olympic 4x4 did an awesome job.  The welds seem done by a CNC robot.

I'll take note of the others in case I want to build something else.

Cheers!
