Washougal River Cartridge Company?

I haven't been to a fun show in a while, and I stumbled across these guys at the last Puyallup fun show.

Has anyone tried out their ammo?  Reviews?

Their 9mm ammo looks to be pretty competitively priced and I was thinking about making the switch over from BVAC, but wanted to check the word on the street beforehand.

Right now, I'm kinda kick myself for not picking up 500rnds just to plick around with.

TIA for all comments and reviews.

I've shot about 100 rounds of their 308 147 gr FMJ and found it to be slightly more accurate than Winchester white box 7.62. These rounds function just fine in my M1 308. At $10 a box it's a pretty good deal.

Their 5.56 is good, but their 40 cal is crap. I have 175 rounds that wont shoot in my M&P

Epic Firearms in Monroe carries their ammo and talked them into producing 10mm.  250 rounds for $109 bucks.  I'll be picking up some when I can, and if it's as good as BVAC, shooting the piss out of it!

Thanks Madcap, when I told them of my problems with the 40 cal, Dathan Myers told me, "This is the first issue I have heard of". I will not be buying any more ammo from these liars.

Shooting their 10mm 180 grain JHP from a 250 round box I paid 106 bucks and change for (116 somthing after tax).  Have'nt had a chance to shoot for accuracy yet, but the stuff cycles fine, and show's no high pressure signs, and now early ejection signs (firing pin dragging across primer) which means it's well suited for the new #20 recoil spring I put in.  At $21 a box, I can live with it.

The 556 I bought from them works great, its there 40 cal that sucks. They are giving me a full refund on the 40. Are you going to be there Friday night Mad?

Review: I've been using their 168 gr "match grade" ammo and 147 grade FMJ ammo in my 308-chambered M1 tanker. In one box of the 168 grain I had a ruptured case. After purchasing several boxes of the 147 gr FMJ and having no issues, I bought an ammo can with 250 rounds of 147 gr FMJ. After shooting about 20 rounds of this lot, I had 2 instances of blown primers, with severe damage to the case head. One of the rounds was fired over a chronograph and registered over 3000 fps. I sent an email via their web site last week describing the blown primer issue but never got a response.
Too bad, because the "good" ammo was reasonably accurate.

Edit: Just got an email from WRCC with an offer to refund or inspect and reload my remaining ammo. I will return the ammo for reload. Hopefully, this will help them with their QC process and we'll have a good local source for inexpensive ammo.

With the bubba's out in this neck of the woods it's no surprise they are having QC issues...

I really hope they get their QC straightened out soon.

My concern is that there isn't a lot of QC 'growing pain' room when it comes to ammunition production.  One bad round can really mess up someone's day.
