I understand people have to be 18 to be involved in any activities.  However, I am interested in bringing my teen age sons to observe.  Will people under the age of 18 permitted on the property during the event?

I'm all for it. However, for legal and safety reasons, maybe they could have a hand stamp or something for minors.

This year, due to liability reasons, we will not be allowing anyone under the age of 18 on the property. It is something we hope to achieve in future years.

One of my former teachers lives pretty close to the range you used for the Gap shoots, but I never got around to finding out who/what was behind the event.  Looks like I finally figured that out, and it looks like this could be interesting, but it's at least a 3 hour drive . . . not quite the 30 minutes or so to NH.

Great area, hope I am off so I can attend. Currently looking at a cabin for sale off of 414. Would be great to have this in the area every year!

Firearms Industry Consulting Group and The Shooter's Gauntlet are going to be sponsoring a Machine Gun Shoot at The Shooter's Gauntlet on April 30 - May 1.

Currently, FICG hosts a bi-annual machine gun shoot in Lancaster, PA that has gotten so large we've looked for another location. The hope is that this will become a larger event similar to Knob Creek.

Unlike other events, we are also working on having manufacturer's show up with products for individuals to demo. We have some commitments from some larger industry names already and will be releasing a list in the future after we have a few more. That includes some silencer manufacturers.

We have also received approval from ATF that will allow dealers to transfer firearms at the event.

I see from their facebook page that they are located on millstone road. They're website also says about a "2.5 mile climb up the hill for 4 wheel drives only" Is that where the shoot is going to be at, and if so, what kind of climb is it up the hill?

Let me get you an answer on that. We had a meeting last night to discuss and there may be a change of location of the ranges depending upon some things. Which is really exciting.

To answer your question, that description is not pertinent to the machine gun shoot. You need not worry about traversing anything nor will private vehicles be allowed on the mountain to do so.

Directions in the OP.

Good news everyone! It seems that due to the response from the silencer industry, we'll be utilizing the range that was original for the MGs for the silencers and moving the MG line to a bigger range! Should be approximately 200ish years wide and about 100-125 deep.

Any idea as to how long the pre-sale tickets will be available at the $25 price? I'm definitely planning on going weather permitting. I'd like to hold out as long as possible until i can see a weather forecast for the weekend to make sure its going to be decent weather.

I just didn't want to purchase a bunch of tickets for me and some guys from work and be stuck with the tickets if the weather isn't any good.

ETA: May have answered my own question. The ticket purchase page says sale ends April 29th

Yep, between Saturday night and now we had probably 8" of snow on the grass areas up here on the mountain. Nothing sticking to roads or dirt driveways.

I'm really looking forward to this event. I'll be there on the 30th and my company will have some of our wares on display at the Alpha Dog Silencer table, possibly elsewhere as well. My first machine gun shoot, not even sure what to expect!

We are also going to be working with Alpha Dog on their give aways as well.

Hey all, NJ resident here and I'll be going.  Really excited to have fun and meet some cool like-minded folks. Never been to one of these so I have a couple noob questions.  SuperMoose was giving me good info on the NJ forum but he seems busy as hell with working this so I figured I'd be neighborly visit the PA forum.

  • Open carry - seems to be ok but will people be doing it?  I'd like to since I'll have the legal opportunity, which i do not have in NJ, but not if it's looked down on at the shows.

  • Chairs, non-alcohol coolers, etc - sounds like this isn't that sort of event right?  if shuttles are needed to get to and from parking, probably not that sort of hanging out type thing...

  • Range to just shoot a little?  I have a new rifle that I'd like to use for the assault hike but it's not zeroed yet.  Will i have a chance to sight it in enough to have some fun on the assault hike or do I just bring a sighted rifle?

  • Thanks all and look forward to maybe meeting some of y'all

    Open carry is fine.

You can bring chairs with. I honestly don't know if there will be a spot for you to set up and watch with them, but you can toss them in the car, scout the scene and make that call there. No alcohol is permitted on the property.

There are no shuttles. Assuming we don't use the off site parking....you're looking about 1/4 mile walk to the MG range, across the street for the silencer and vendor area.

I'd say bring a rifle that is sighted in or go sight your rifle in. There won't be a spot for you to do it during the shoot.

I was certain they said shuttles would be present.
EDIT: Website says if overflow parking is used they'll transport you.
