I understand people have to be 18 to be involved in any activities. However, I am interested in bringing my teen age sons to observe. Will people under the age of 18 permitted on the property during the event?

It is something we hope to achieve in future years. |

One of my former teachers lives pretty close to the range you used for the Gap shoots, but I never got around to finding out who/what was behind the event. Looks like I finally figured that out, and it looks like this could be interesting, but it's at least a 3 hour drive . . . not quite the 30 minutes or so to NH.

Great area, hope I am off so I can attend. Currently looking at a cabin for sale off of 414. Would be great to have this in the area every year!

We had to put in for our vacation time at work. I put in for the weekend of the shoot, fingers crossed.

When do you have these types of shoots in Lancaster? It won't be until the fall. Is there really going to be one in Lancaster? Yes. There has been one twice a year in Lancaster for the past three or four years. Quoted:

Firearms Industry Consulting Group and The Shooter's Gauntlet are going to be sponsoring a Machine Gun Shoot at The Shooter's Gauntlet on April 30 - May 1. Currently, FICG hosts a bi-annual machine gun shoot in Lancaster, PA that has gotten so large we've looked for another location. The hope is that this will become a larger event similar to Knob Creek. Unlike other events, we are also working on having manufacturer's show up with products for individuals to demo. We have some commitments from some larger industry names already and will be releasing a list in the future after we have a few more. That includes some silencer manufacturers. We have also received approval from ATF that will allow dealers to transfer firearms at the event. Mark your calendars now to join us, sign up for updates and be sure to tell your friends! Event Website and Registration View Quote I see from their facebook page that they are located on millstone road. They're website also says about a "2.5 mile climb up the hill for 4 wheel drives only" Is that where the shoot is going to be at, and if so, what kind of climb is it up the hill? |

To answer your question, that description is not pertinent to the machine gun shoot. You need not worry about traversing anything nor will private vehicles be allowed on the mountain to do so. Directions in the OP. |

Good news everyone! It seems that due to the response from the silencer industry, we'll be utilizing the range that was original for the MGs for the silencers and moving the MG line to a bigger range! Should be approximately 200ish years wide and about 100-125 deep.

I'm really looking forward to this event. I'll be there on the 30th and my company will have some of our wares on display at the Alpha Dog Silencer table, possibly elsewhere as well. My first machine gun shoot, not even sure what to expect!
We are also going to be working with Alpha Dog on their give aways as well. |

I honestly don't know if there will be a spot for you to set up and watch with them, but you can toss them in the car, scout the scene and make that call there. No alcohol is permitted on the property. There are no shuttles. Assuming we don't use the off site parking....you're looking about 1/4 mile walk to the MG range, across the street for the silencer and vendor area. I'd say bring a rifle that is sighted in or go sight your rifle in. There won't be a spot for you to do it during the shoot. |
