UPDATE 4/21:

After searching tirelessly for months, we were able to find an insurance policy that would allow minors on the property and those 14-18 to take part in shooting firearms (with a few restrictions: no machine guns, no cannons and no explosives).

As involving the next generation of shooters in this event was something that I personally wanted to see from the start, it appears that is now a reality! Those under 14 year of age, who are accompanied by a parent/guardian, will only be permitted to observe. Unfortunately, due to the requirements of the insurance carrier, all minors will have to produce a Government document (e.g. birth certificate, passport…etc) stating their date of birth. (Photocopies are permissible).

Vendor Giveaways include:

  • Dead Air Silencers Mask

  • Alpha Dog Silencers is giving away TWO Alpha 9 Silencers

  • B5 Systems is giving away Gripstops, stocks and more

  • Lancer Systems is giving away some things

  • Magpul Industries is giving away Pmags

  • 2A Armament is giving away a Ti Gas Block, Ti Takedown Pins and Ti T3 Compensator

  • Other vendors will have giveaways too

Firearms Industry Consulting Group and The Shooter's Gauntlet are going to be sponsoring a Machine Gun Shoot at The Shooter's Gauntlet on April 30 - May 1.

Currently, FICG hosts a bi-annual machine gun shoot in Lancaster, PA that has gotten so large we've looked for another location. The hope is that this will become a larger event similar to Knob Creek.

Unlike other events, we are also working on having manufacturer's show up with products for individuals to demo. Industry members like LWRC, Thunderbeast Arms Corp., SilencerCo, YHM, Liberty Suppressors and more have confirmed attendance with the list growing every day.

The event will feature two main ranges (one for machine guns and a separate location for silencers so that you can actually appreciate what they are doing). Additionally the property also has an 1100 yard range, inversion wall, zipline, assault hike and more!

We have also received approval from ATF that will allow dealers to transfer firearms at the event.

Mark your calendars now to join us, sign up for updates and be sure to tell your friends!

We're hoping so. We're hoping to draw a lot of people from the NE as well. The addition of manufacturer's should make this a unique even in that individuals will be able to sample their offerings, which is something that they may not have otherwise been able to do.

Question for you, I see on the website that tickets go on sale 10-15-15, But where do I go to buy the tickets? Will it be on the site?
Also will this event be sold out, meaning that I should try to get the tickets as soon as possible?
And how would I pre-register for both days?

Thanks

That website should handle everything as far as the purchase of tickets, etc. I don't know if the event will be "sold out" or not. I'm heading back up to the property next weekend. These are things I'll put in an email to Josh and the owner of the property for us to discuss.

Website should handle your option to select one or two day passes.

I'll post more definitive answers when I have them.

When tickets go on sale they'll be available on the website I'm being told. I don't know whether we are capping attendance or if the pre sale is to just to get a better idea of attendance to plan accordingly so 1500 people don't just show up.

No idea. It's a massive property and some of the stuff requires a bit of "travel".

There are other activities planned that won't be right on the machine gun shoot line.

I'll try to get an idea over the week or next weekend when I'm up there.

I just hope the suppressor range, for example, is far enough away from the machine gun line to make it fun.

I'll be up there this weekend to see what was done. I was told that it was almost or was complete. The guy who owns the property is a gun guy so we'll see.

The real issue becomes distance. While it would be great to have them on polar opposites of the property, transportation becomes an issue.

Perhaps they could have a series of "moments of silence" throughout the day.

Never been to an event like this so I'm curious as to how it works. Do you pay for your admission ticket and then pay additionally for the various shooting/activities? Or is it, hey step right up and shoot an M60?
Thanks.

The tickets sold on the website get you access to the property. The vendors decide the cost for people to shoot their stuff.

Whether any will allow people to use their own ammo or not, I don't know.

We are going to promote the hell out of it.

I run the social media for the shop I manage as well as the law firm (although the law firm is a bit more difficult). I've got some ideas and other methods up my sleeve. I'm going to also get some of the manufacturers to help promote it since it'll be in their interest too.

This is going to be the first year so it'll be a learning experience but hopefully everyone who comes will have fun. It can only get bigger and better.

ETA:

I need to make sure the guys in other Hometown forums know about this but I don't want to cross post and get yelled at.

I'd suggest pre-registering. There are limited slots so if they sell out, they sell out. That said, IF there are slots, I believe we'll be accommodating "walk ons".
