I just moved to the area a few months ago so I too am interested in what to do around here.  As best as I can tell the answer is.... not much.  
You can always go to the King of Prussia mall for shopping and whatnot. (Second biggest mall in the USA but technically the largest if measured by retail floor area).

Usually the wife and I just bite the bullet and drove down to Philly for fun.

Stay away from Norristown. The greater area is fairly nice,  the center of town can be less than desirable.

I've heard great things about valley forge park, but have yet to go.

There's a casino around KOP, if you're into that.

Collegeville eh? Glaxo, Pfizer, or Iron Mountain?

Appalachian Brewery  -   Good Food, and decent beer

Stop by King Shooters Supply if you want to check out a local gun store. It's about 5 minutes from the mall.

Movie Tavern.  Dinner and a movie all at the same time.
