Lehighton is nice. Only downside is jobs. Not a whole lot going on in the area. Be prepared for an hour drive to make good money.

I used to travel through there about once a month for business, I was last there 5 years ago.

I've been all over the eastern part of PA, and Lehighton was different that anyplace I'd ever been to. It seemed like it was 20 years behind the times. Not necessarily in a bad way either...it very much had a small home-town feel to it.

It is still like that to this day. Great town where time has stood still.

My wife has family from Lehighton. Its a sleepy little town. Cute little downtown area is more or less abandoned. Few shops, but most are closed down.
