THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT 0830 START CARBINE, PRECISION AND DMR invited. Carbine - 100 rounds in stacked mags, 10 pistol in stacked mags. Precision/DMR - 55 rounds $20 members, $30 guests. Online registration required: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dFFCNHVzR3hVcHhiM1RzczNtX09vNUE6MQ Precision will be running, and will have a long range CoF with steel, pop-ups and movers from 200 to 600Y. For July's match we will be shooting a dual course of fire for Carbine. There will be some movers and pop-ups to start it off at 200Y, and then the carbine shooters will repair to the 25/50 range to shoot the NJSP CQB Entry firearm Q-Course. The Q-Course is fired on an IDPA target at distances from 3 yards to 50 yards, and is a very good test of overall carbine skill, featuring fast close-up work, support side shooting, use of cover, position changes, and handling skills. It is not intimidating at all if you are a newer shooter. It is fired in sticks of 6 shooters at a time. Each shooting exercise is conducted by one shooter at a time, and the score is a factor of your accuracy plus the time required. There will be a centerfire pistol transition drill included. Bring 10 rounds, strong side holster required. A drop leg holster is fine but cross draws, shoulder or chest rig setups are a no-go. If you do not have the proper equipment you will not be permitted shoot this portion of the CoF. We will score these divisions for Carbine: Ladies division (by popular demand - any sights) Irons Red Dot Magnified Optic This is a great one to bring out SBR's and Kalashnikov's as well. NFA Suppressors and SBR's may be used. ––Fargo007 |

I may try precision this month if I'm able to get dialed in before then.
I'd still like a Rifle CoF....to fill the gap between carbine and precision, id est same CoF as precision but with slightly larger targets. |

Hey Fargo -
1. Are junior shooters welcome (14&16) both have are experienced shooters and shoot in IDPA and USPSA
2. How many mags are need on the belt - currently set up for 2 rifle and 2 pistol
3. On the NHRPC website it states that a case is needed for transporting rifles to the line, I do not have cases for all 3 rifles. Are chamber flags sufficient? if not how about broken down in a backpack?
4. Are the rules similar the the practical pistol sports: safe table, cold range, only handle weapons under Range officer command ect...
Thanks in advance - this looks like a lot of fun!

We can handle junior shooters on this match no problem. You will have to be there to supervise them when they are on the line. Mags - One in the gun and two on the belt should be enough. A chamber flag is not sufficient, but is independently required. Bring them. Guns have to come to the firing line unloaded and cased up. You need to solve that problem on your own. Yes, the safety rules are quite similar to that. We don't usually define a safe table but it's not a bad idea. There will be a stick of six shooters loaded at one time, and they will shoot on the clock one at a time at each distance required under a shot timer. All other firearms (other than holstered program staff sidearms) are cold until they are on the line and receive a load command. Take care and hope you can make it. This one is a lot of fun, and is not extremely difficult. ––Fargo007 |

Fargo - If you can tell me how you want the results set up, I can take the score sheets home and get them entered in for you after matches, like I did for the Mile...

Thank you for that offer. I may take you up on that.
For these Q-Course ones, I typically do them like I did this one. These are straightforward. The moag was a little different because of the major/minor classes we broke down. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0AtSr2kaqAtDtdFFCNHVzR3hVcHhiM1RzczNtX09vNUE&single=true&gid=3&output=html And I sneak the precision in below it. BTW : The green indicates either a qualifying time or point score. Double green means a fully qualified shooter. ––Fargo007 |
