Self Defense is what I wrote on mine.

I guess it depends on your reason. I put self defense because that's mine.

PA is a shall issue state, so I don't think it matters what the answer to that question is.

i ask because in mass if you put self defense they will deny you as you dont have the right to protect yourself just the right to run away and call the police to protect you.

when i got my first LTC in mass we had to sit through a 4 hour class (lecture) before getting your first permit. they went on for what seemed like hours about how you are required to flee and call the police. a little old lady in the class said she didnt care and if some bad guy broke in her house she was gonna shoot um. they told her she would most likely go to jail.

i just kept my mouth shut and left feeling very sad to be in that state. i kinda dont want to ever move back.

The sheriff's clerks in Erie county told me to check whatever blocks I felt applied, but on the LTCF card they would default all to Self Defense.

I think that having to state a reason for the permit is a holdover from when PA was not a shall issue state. Thank goodness we don't live in those days anymore!

Should have put "Business: Nunya" and see if they print it.

Zombies

In a shall-issue state, it makes about as much sense as anything else. Plus, it will see if they're paying attention
