I've noticed that they have closed down portions of the US60 between the I10 as far out as Mesa Dr. over the weekends.

I can see fresh cuts, and it looks like new loops have been put in the roadway covering all lanes.  Are they bringing the speed cameras back, or is it something less sinister?

It's for the new video boards. Those sensors help determine the amount of vehicles on so it can display an estimate time to get places .
