~~We need to start talking about it.~~ ~~We're doing this!~~We're doing this next weekend. The forecast and weather will ne better and we don't want people being miserable or not showing because of the weather...that and Rich_V just called and convinced me to move the date to suit for the weather.

Tomorrow, Friday during the afternoon and night if you want to come out for a local arf Prescott area get together under better weather before the blah this weekend, would be okay too. I'll be at both.

~~For those new to the area or this will be there first time shooting with us, let's meet up at Gabby's Kitchen at 0800 on the 18th for some good food and we'll convoy out from there to the location.~~

~~If you already know the location, show at your leisure~~

If you'll be staying for most of the evening or camping, please bring some firewood to keep the warmth going.

If you will need directions, send me an IM.

You'll need some ground clearance to get there, street cars, RV's, and campers will most likely not make it. Arrangements can be made to shuttle people who don't have the proper vehicles to the area from the main road. Please join us at Gabby's if you're one of those needing a lift.

There will be some action shooting going on during the day and at night. To those new, we're totally enclosed in three directions and you will have 500 yards or more to stretch your legs if you'll need it.

Bring your own targets and if no targets brought, please be respectful of other people's targets, no magnetic projectiles for the AR500 please.

Camp chairs will be a must and snivel gear as it will most certainly get cold. No trash is to be left behind and brass will be policed up afterwards to keep our area spotless and not ruined.

This will be a fun time and it is family friendly and guests are welcome. No alcohol while the line is hot and the four rules always.

The pay it forward box will be brought out again with the left over contents from the last shoot, free for all who are paying it forward.

The 21st is a great choice given the 'bullet' we dodged and the inauguration of a 2nd amendment friendly President.

SHOT is listed as 17-20 JAN.

It doesn't have to be in JAN but it was suggested to do this that day by Rich_V to me over dinner.

In fact, he brought it up and I asked when he was going to make the thread and he volunteered me to do it again

As my January gun show is during the last weekend (the 28th & 29th) it is highly doubtful that I could make this during the weekend before.

The first two weekends in February, and possibly the third, would be better for me....then I start encroaching on my March show.

As much as I'd love too, it looks like I'll be switching agencies shortly which will derail my plans to do anything for 6 months to a year, unless I magically get the weekends off shift.

I lurk pretty hard in the AzHTF.

To those of you that are lurking and possibly sitting on the fence about doing this, let me try and ease your minds about this. What happens on this site (G-fucking-D) odes not happen at the shoots. Sure, you may not know anybody...yet. Come out and join us, get to know us so we can can know you, and be part of the AZ extended arfcom family.

At the last shoot I was able to get an arfcomer from far away as Yuma to come up. Sure the drive was long and the unknown to eat at you. But from his mouth to god's ears, he's wished he was able to do these before because once he was introduced and welcomed, everything became good and the timidness went away.

Come hang out and shoot, then hang out some more with like minded folks. Join us at the fire and watch me give Chuck a hard time about making the fire too big and then watch me make it even bigger afterwards
