Ideas? I really don't want to take my wife's Hummer H3 and stuff 2 elk in the back. She wouldn't appreciate it much.
Does anywhere in town rent full size (crew cab) 4wd trucks? |

I have rented trucks from enterprise in the past for road trips, call and ask what they have, 4x4 can be hard to come by but not impossible.

Are the Uhaul trucks only 2 wheel drive? I would think you could negotiate a decent deal through them.

I talked to a couple of dudes back in 2009 in Williams that had gotten an elk and were dropping it off to be processed. The truck's front bumper was really messed up like it had bottomed out and the truck was caked with mud. They told me they flew in to Phoenix and rented it, and were going back out for elk #2. It was a nice bull.

I have a buddy who rents a quad cab 4x4 every year for our Labor Day trip.
He uses National. He's brought it back covered in mud before, so it's not like they don't know why he's renting it... |
