Practical Handgun for Armed Citizens – 3 Days - 1099.00

This course will take any beginner or intermediate handgun shooter and give them a high level or confidence and skill in the use of the handgun for self-defense applications. This program combines all of our available handgun classes and adds additional training not available outside of AZ Cowtown ranges. Completing this class will also qualify you to obtain an Arizona Concealed Carry (CCW) permit, which is recognized in the majority of the United States for concealed carry. This 3 day class focuses on Marksmanship, Manipulation, Movement, and Mindset – our primary defensive firearms concepts, from the most basic to extreme applications. You will learn about legal use of force, short and long range pistol engagements, unconventional shooting positions, low-light shooting, and multiple targets. You will also discover how to shoot and move, how to shoot with one hand, how to shoot with your other hand, and how to work from a vehicle. Practical Handgun for Armed Citizens culminates in exercises focusing on close quarters defense and force-on-force training.



Home Defense Trio – 3 Days - 1099.00

The three most common tools used for home defense are the handgun, carbine, and shotgun. In this 3 day program, you will learn how to properly select a firearm for your situation, including associated equipment and ammunition, and we’ll dispel all of the myths surrounding the use of firearms in self-defense and the home. Marksmanship and manipulation for each firearm will be covered in-depth, as well as defensive applications. You will test your skills in force-on-force scenarios utilizing training guns and simulation ammunition, all in and around buildings, through hallways, and in bedrooms. You will also discover how to shoot and move, how to shoot with one hand, how to shoot with your other hand, and how to work from behind cover. Field Carbine culminates in an exercise that will challenge each student to apply everything they’ve learned as they move through an area discovering, identifying, and engaging previously unknown targets.



Downrange Experience – 4 Days - 2099.00

The Downrange Experience is an opportunity for you to gain real-world skills while having an adventure and gaining a better understanding of what our men and women in uniform have to do to secure our freedoms. You will start the program by getting an introduction to operational fitness and team-building exercises, and move on to learning land navigation, communication skills, team tactics, combat casualty care, and similar skill sets. You will then get trained on how to operate and use AR-15 and AK-47 rifles, including marksmanship, how to keep your rifle working, and how to move and shoot. In this program there are 2 teams, and teams will live together for the duration of the 4 day experience. Following the first 3 days of training, the group will receive a mission, with different objectives for each team. This mission will highlight the skills that have been built over the past 3 days, and push you and your team to achieve things you didn’t think possible.

Is there any live shooting in the ladies only class?

Yes, it is all live fire.

Okay that is what i figured. On the website it does not say to bring mags, and X number of rounds like the other classes.

I have a freind that got her CCW several years ago and decided to finally start carring because they fired a guy at her work and he thinks she got him fired.  I have taken her to the range a few times. So she has shot some but no holster work that i know of.  She has a 357 revolver she wants to carry. I recommended she take a class to get familar with holster work, reloading etc. Is that course an apropriate course for her level of skill?
