This is the AZHTF version of The Fappening I think.

Have any details changed since the OP? Just curious since it hasn't been edited, and need to make arrangements soon.

And is there a decent hotel somewhat close to the area I can look into? I'm trying to get the wife to tag along, and she does not do cold weather at all - so camping out will not be an option unfortunately.

No changes / additions yet --- but keep an eye out as this thread is really going to start ramping up the closer we get to the date.

As for a hotel: Chino Valley has a nice Day's Inn located at 688 Fletcher Court (cross street is Highway 89).....phone number 888 / 945 - 7537.

From The Bear's NFA Armory.....

M60 GPMG

M16A1 HBAR

CAR15 (11.5 inch [suppressed] barrel)

Suppressed 9mm UZI, or.... a suppressed .45ACP MAC10 (you guys decide)

M79 40mm Grenade Launcher

M203 40mm Grenade Launcher (on a Colt AR15A2 host)

Suppressed .22cal LR Walther P22

Suppressed 9mm Beretta M9

And since aztrooper is bringing his Hk91, I'll bring my M1A in case anyone wants to compare shooting the two.

*** Trigger time on any weapon is limited to the amount of ammo you bring to feed it. I encourage you to bring your own [loaded] magazines if you have them, as you will then be able to avoid the bottleneck at my loading table (I will of course bring [a limited amount of] magazines for each weapon). I will also have links available for you to link your own .308 for the M60.

*** Factory loaded, non-corrosive ammo only.

*** Absolutely NO Pakistani ammo.

*** Those desiring to shoot the M60: feel free to bring your own pre-linked ammo (per the ammo restrictions above). Ammo must be on US/NATO M13 links. Be sure you know what you're doing; As in --- don't load the rounds backwards (as {name withheld out of respect} did last year. Yes, it happens.

*** Steel or nickel cased ammo is OK through the `60 (we'll just squirt some WD40 or LPS2 on the links prior to running thru the gun)

*** Both my M16 and CAR15 do not like steel cased ammo. You can try, but be prepared to essentially shoot full auto's like a bolt action (you've been warned!).

*** As for 40mm ammo, see the separate AZHTF Shoot 'Grenadier' thread.

Any questions, post `em here as others may have the same questions as well and I can answer them all at one time.

Assuming I can make it (90% sure right now) I'll bring a FAL or 2 so we can have the trifecta.

That wash by the road leading to the path up into our spot has badly eroded since the last shoot. Does anyone coming early to stay the night before have bags of dirt with them to help fill it up? If you want I can do a recon and load pics of what I'm talking about or I can ask luvmyglocks to do it since he's that close to the spot to see if he can take the pics for me.

Just trying to prevent damage or a traffic jam if a vehicle gets stuck

I know I'm still the FNG a round here but it looks like we share the same shooting spot. If you guys want I am totally willing to help fill in the wash leading up to "rock crawler" hill. I'm nearby and you guys can also verify that I'm not a sorry mouth breather or something.

Nothing wrong with mouthbreathers, as long as they know how to cuddle on a cold night.

Numrich is selling M13 links in baggies of 100 for $17.50 shipped.

I should have listened to the Bear and bought a thousand at the SAR Show for $15.00.

Been seeing M79's for $8,800 lately. Not entirely impossible but there goes any budget for 5 years

M-79s are fun; no doubt about it. Most of the enjoyment I get out of owning mine is from the visual esthetics of the weapon....one BIG-assed barreled weapon that just happens to launch grenades.

All that being said, if you just want to get in to a 40mm tube then going the M203 route is the way to go as they are a lot cheaper. My recent purchase of a (well, three actually) M203 came out to a little over $1,500.00 with tax (prior to the $200.00 transfer tax). Those first two were a little over $1,400.00 a piece (through Bear Arms). I decided I didn't want to drive down in to the Phoenix area to conduct business so I went with a local dealer (hence the higher price).

I'm sure some of you are wondering "Why Bear, when you already own a M-79, did you also buy a M203?". Well, because I think the look of a 20" AR/M-16 with a `203 mounted to it is an AWESOME looking weapon system.

And besides: because I can!

ETA:  Those M203 prices include the mounting hardware and the upper handguard...which are ridiculously over-priced.

Mine works pretty good.  All parts from SD tactical.  Pressed freeze plugs to close to 60 degrees with a vise and some torx bits.  Cost me about 150 plus tax stamp.

Might be 3 cans.. think I'm going to do a .22 can also.  Should have the stamp back in time.

ETA:  It's official.  Efiled 10 minutes ago.  If the wait time is the same, should come in just prior to the shoot.
