Well, it looks like it was a format change. Now we have 2 98 KUPD's
Nope. 2 104.7's. Fucking bullshit. |
Well, I hear Ozzy on it now. Sounds about right
I did hear some gawd-awful vomit on 93.3 earlier this morning... thought I'd just happened to tune in during on a commercial so I abruptly changed the channel. Very strange |

Several changes going down.
620 AM was simulcast with 98.7 for some time. They just changed it. Tuned into 620 last night, and got ESPN-W. ClearChannel supposedly changed their corp name to iHeartMedia. iThinkThatWasUnwise Change, how does that work? |

Yeah, the last decent station off the air. Guess I won't ever know what is going on now. Never watch the crap news and now won't be listening to the radio. Thank goodness for the ipod interface.

I work weird hours, so most of the time it is either afternoon news or Dave Ramsey. I used to work in the financial industry so it is fun to keep up with it and see how good/accurate my info still is. |

What a real shame. I too noticed the change on my way to work this afternoon. I've been listening to KDKB literally for the past 20 years or so; more so for the past few years since I have grown increasingly annoyed with KUPD's playlist of whiny rock and over self-indulgence of grunge.
Saw this on the New Times: http://blogs.phoenixnewtimes.com/uponsun/2014/09/kdkb_933_format_switch_alternative_rock.php Apparently they're Alt AZ now. All alternative. Talk about really letting down a long and loyal fan base. |
Hey guys the good news is we have 87 stations in the Valley playing Taylor Swift and Nickelback. I sure love hearing the same 20 songs on 5 different radio stations. Lady Gaga FTW!

Switched to satellite radio 4 years ago and haven't looked back

Come on you guys and get a grip. KDKB has been KR*P ever since Bill Compton's been gone....

89.5 KBAQ is still going strong.
Seriously, KBAQ or KUPD depending on the amount of traffic I'm driving in. |
KBAQ FTW! Really...good relaxing stuff there.
Disclaimer- I am a fam of alt music... So I have been listening to the new 93.3 and I am actually kind of liking it. They play a lot of stuff the The Edge used to play...RIP |
View Quote I was gonna go with this. Before noon they were playing metal as usual, then when I turned it at 425 (I looked because it was weird ass music), thought it was some 420 thing. Bet they're changing to reggie. |

I was pissed when my smooth jazz station here changed to Mexican music (KYOT, The Coyote)! Just like the sister station in Chicago, WNUA practically created the smooth jazz mega-station. So now I listen to 550 mfor news or 94.5 and 95.3 for oldies rock.
When you sit in the company truck as long as I do all the stations get boring.
I am not about to upgrade or modify their stuff. Some alt music, I'm up for that. I have a lot of vintage KDKB stickers and used to have the rear window shade screen back in the 80's. Lately KUPD kind of pisses me off. |
I miss the Tim and Mark show. Used to listen to Dave Pratt but got sick of all his sports crap and went back to KDKB. Sad day for Phoenix.
is that channel still gay? I erased it from my presets when it changed.
