The eternal Peyton Manning / Denver blow job coming out of my television makes me want to kick puppy's.
That is all. |
Heck, they did OK up till the 4th quarter.
All those dropped passes sure didn't help. |
Dang!!! The 1 stinking time I'd be able to root for the Cards & this!?!? Who is in there now for the QB anyways!? Don't feel bad as the Chargers zapped the jets in a shutout the only thing the announcers could talk about was the loss to AZ!!!!!!!! . WTF!
Now, it *could* be that the Bronco's were just so in tune that they'd have made anyone look bad, yesterday.
Or the Cards peaked early. Hard to tell, at this point. But, now I have to listen to a Giant's fan 'nyaah-nyaah' at me all week. /sigh/ |
After 3 games of "Fitzgerald's getting too old" from the commentators, it was nice to see him have some success, today.
It certainly wasn't the prettiest win, and it was closer than the 20-30 score would indicate. Nonetheless, 4-1 is pretty darn good! |
They have enough receivers that I think they are happy letting him be a huge distraction to defenses.
He also stays healthier that way. When they really need to he's the man to go to. Play maker not possession receiver is how I would like to see it. Extends careers. I'm more than happy as long as we are winning letting him keep some gas in the tank for the later part of the season. When wins seem to get much harder to come by. Why burn him up on short yardage first downs when much heavier players might be in on the tackle. Thinking the later Jerry Rice model here. Always played big in the playoffs, but he always seemed to be healthy. Does that make any sense or did it just sound good in my head. |
No, that sounds reasonable. But - the other 2 qb's need to throw to him once in a while, just to prove he's still a deep threat.
We'll have to see. |
I would say beings he most of the time is in double coverage and the coaches may not have a ton of faith in the replacement QB.
They might be told to not throw it to him. Kind of risk management of sorts. |

The Red Sea is set to flood the Black Hole on Sunday....sounds bad don't it?
It will be easy to spot cardinal red in the stadium. I would wear the black jerseys if i had the balls to go haha.
I really would liked to have faced them under the old inept head coach. They still might lose.
But everything the Raiders used to do will be pretty much off the table. They played a good team close last week. This may be a crap shoot that we should win. I worry about this one. |
Cards up 14-10 at half time. (Crosses fingers)
Yay, they won. (uncrosses fingers) ((shakes blood back into them)) |
No kidding, there was no relaxing during that one.
The clench factor was strong when the lead was one point. |

Prediction: we win. Also, I predict a shooting or a stabbing. California sports fans have no class, and we all know what kind of people like the Raiders. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Cards are 5-1.I'm praying the wheels don't fall of anytime soon.

Oh good god. This season may take a year off my life.
But a win is a win. |
I had to find my nitro pills for the last part of the game yesterday!

Next week will be a bugger.
Dallas in Dallas. Every one of those games has come down to the better field goal kicker. I remember back into the 90s, even when the Cowboys were a better team, the Cardinals would get their pound of flesh. |
Dallas leading the Cardinals, 10-7.
I thought the 'announcers' seemed a little on-sided. "Dallas, Dallas, Dallas". Yep, Troy Aikmann and Joe Buck. Same duo that chanted "Denver, Denver, Denver" all night long. Grrrr |
Only thing keeping the Cowboys in this game are the dropped passes by the Cards.
Cards ahead 21-10.
Aikmann is actually having to say, "Cardinal's leading...." It must hurt him, terribly - he says it so rarely! Nyah! |
Just turned on the game to see the 21-10 Card lead 5:30 left. WOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOO!!!!! And now the PICK! HELL YES!!!!!!!!!!
What a face punch to their arrogant self-image....losing at home! GO CARDS! |

Damn someone come over and wake me up. I must be dreaming.
They won without me needing BP medication and post game show actually gave them some credit for actually being good. I still say playing in a really tough division lets you look better in a weaker one. We just smoked the two top teams in th NFC East and I really don't think that would have happened if we still played there. This team would have been built to compete with them. Not SF and Seattle. |
In the remaining games we play the Rams, Lions, Seahawks, Falcons, Chiefs, Rams, Seahawks, then Niners. The Seahawks aren't looking that good this year. Very good chance of us getting the first round bye in the playoffs.

I hope Palmer recovers. Stanton looked good and that Cardinals D came through once again.
1948 - Cardinals went 11-1.
2014 - Cardinals are doing all right, so far. Hope Palmer recovers quickly. |
I hope he is ok.. not just as the Cardinals QB, but injuries like that suck in general.
I just saw on the news that Palmer is out for the season... Tough break!
9-1!! The cards are LEGIT!!! Stanton looked good in the first quarter, but after that he did look like a back up at times. I will say that even his interceptions were thrown with confidence. He is feeling it, and he is going to let that carry him through the rest of the season. I know I am feeling confident about the playoffs.
GO CARDS!!!!!!!!!!! |
Good job Big Red!!!
Ya had me almost worried in the 2nd half but ya done good!
But yet all the talking heads on the sports channels still diss the Cards as a team that doesn't have what it takes and I have know idea why......
