Thinking about in a few months (tail end of monsoon season) hiking the Montezuma pass to Parker Canyon Lake segment (Segment 1) of the Arizona Trail. Its 20.7 miles. I figure take it at a leisurely pace as a break in, and spend three solid days, 8 hours a day hiking. Have someone resupply water at the Sunnyside Canyon trailhead. Are there any known water resupply points along the trail through the Huachucas? Not so worried about food as I am water.

Hell, might have to find some of you gents to do it with.

Just found the water list for it over here: http://www.fredgaudetphotography.com/aztrail/watercurrent.pdf

Looks like a couple of spots to camp overnight with water access. Just bringing the filter and water purification tabs. I'll definitely have the PLB and VHF Radio.

Don't know much about that section.  You been to aztrail.org yet. There is a resources and conditions area there too.

When you going?

Actually, summer averages are supposedly 75 high, 50s low at altitude.

That actually looks nice.  My first gunner has been teaching at the schoolhouse since he retired.  I might have to see if he feels up to it (if he gets laid off in the next few months and has free time).
