We've never specifically advertised our matches here at AR15.com but have decided to start doing so just to keep people informed.
This match has been running consistently for 8 years now and it's almost always a great time. Come join us if you're so inclined! More information, rules, etc, here: https://twogunaction.squarespace.com/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/2gACM When: February 15th, 2014 Time: 8:30am sign in - 9:00am safety brief and walkthrough. Where: Pima Pistol Club We'd like to remind our participants whom are particularly ammunition challenged that we do offer "SPAM" scoring wherein the already normally low round count is cut in half but all penalties are doubled. So you can effectively shoot without running your cache dry but you need to ensure you're accurate! Please take note that there have been division changes as well as some other minor rule augmentation with our migration away from Michigan. Also, we will be requiring slings on rifles and stages (where applicable), shooters will be forced to begin "slung up". It will be up to the shooter to unsling however is appropriate in the course of fire if they desire (or need to). Please note the club rules: When you enter the Pima Pistol Club, turn left and immediately go to the Range Master's office. They will sign you in, take your match fees, and provide you a guest card. You'll need to present that card to our match staff during squadding. |

These are always fun matches! I go whenever my schedule allows me... I actually like more than Rio 3 gun because its more physically oriented (think crossfit w/ guns )!

Count me in, looks like a blast!
Will 9mm be ok for knocking down steel or should I pull out the 45? |

View Quote 9mm usually works fine, every once in a great while there is a hard set target that needs a high hit, in fact we get a number of rimfire rifle shooters that knock most of the targets down. You pays your money and takes your chances, but more bullets is always better. |

I've participated in the last 4 matches. Not only are they the most fun I've had using my firearms, I am more confident in my ability to use them under duress. Great folks runing the matches and a great time shooting with my friends.

Awesome match, especially liked Stage 2 and 3. Talk about sticky plates, stage 4's poppers were beastmode. |
|
Kick ass match! My buddy and I had a great time!
All stages were challenging and exciting but I was expecting a bit more physical challenges. Maybe next match ;) |

Stages. 1 and 4 100% hits with pistol. Stage 2 (last in the video) not so much. |

Great turn out, great fun, great day!
Lots of new 2g-ACM competitors joined us; thank you and welcome to the match - hopefully you'll make a habit of joining us! Scores are up: https://twogunaction.squarespace.com/march-2014/ |

There was a typo on John B's stage 4 run in which 80 seconds were added to his penalties instead of 8. This has been corrected and John actually was the winner of the match this month, and I believe it was his first time joining us to boot!
First off, John, please accept our apology for the error. Second, congratulations on some fantastic shooting for your first 2G-ACM participation! It looks like we have a new ace in our group to push us to hold harder against! Please re-review the scores again as they have been corrected. Thanks! |

And remember, you are about to be a legend with the new class of MCSO cadets. |

So I have a Wyndham .308 rifle to do a media piece on. If anyone wants to try it and be part of the video bring some .308 ammo on the 19th and squad with me.
It will have an aimpoint M4 on it |

How handicapped would someone be shooting a PCC? I'd consider it if distance t targets were 100 yards or closer, but trying to drop 9mm onto a target at 200 yards may be a stretch.
|
|
PCC brings its own challenge once the distance stretch's out a bit. But... think of the advantage up close vs peoples using a pistol.
|
|
As already stated, PCC sometimes has significant advantages to sometimes significant disadvantages.
You spin the wheel and see what comes up. |
|
While shooting PCC l've been in the top five overall more than once, and l've also had a really good match and been 20th. Depends on the stages.
If you know your holdovers, even the 150+ yard targets aren't too bad. Shooting the Texas Star with a rifle is a whole lot more fun than a pistol. |
|
Well Richard, I shot the Stemple of Doom at the last match....bout 180 yards. Managed to even hit some, with crooked iron sights.
|
|
Ya and I am toying with going full cowboy. 45Colt lever and a brace of SSAs... See how I feel.. Ya good to see Karl is not giving out any hints damn him!!!!!!!

Great turn out and a great day, thank you for everyone who joined us today!
