THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT AZ. citizens and Jan Brewer have witnessed first hand what every Liberal/Progressive Dem is about as they fully support Barry O. and Holder in law suits aimed at destroying Arizona's right to protect their own citizens and LEO's. Yet...AZ voters elect another person who will surly back every leftist agenda to come. |

This is what I expected to happen in District 8. Lots of good folks down there, but too many Democrats in that part of the state.

Before you come in guns blazing you should know that Tucson is Arizona's liberal douche arm pit. So it's actually not surprising the least bit. ETA: Dammit Rizzo beat me by 4 seconds! |

A couple of things first off I voted for Jesse Kelly, but he ran a lack-luster campaign, second too many old ( and I mean old school dems) dem's down here and too many liberal hispanics along with stupid liberal whites.
So if you want to change this tell conservatives to move to pima countyand fight off the liberals. Also there was the Jan. 8th sympathy vote to contend with. In the long run we should have let Barber have the seat and not run anyone this time and fight him in the Nov. campaign. Doesn't mean much seeing as the district is going away with redistricting coming. |

Unfortunately Pima county is a liberal hell hole, and Barber had a lot of ammo against Kelly, using sound bites from his last campaign. Barber's views were not heavily plastered in public view, and his record is 0 so it's easy for stupid people to vote Barber.

Doesn't mean much seeing as the district is going away with redistricting coming. Kelly did run a blah campaign. And his 'record' of earlier campaign sound bites was easy to attack. Don't know about waiting for Nov. though - on paper there are more registered R's than D's in the (now old) district. Obviously heavy on independents though. Interesting that returns show Kelly won amongst election day voters vs. early ballot voters. From Daily Star article Not only would Barber be the incumbent in the Nov. 6 election, but he'll be competing in a more favorable district in terms of registered voters because the Republican advantage in the current CD8 erodes in the new CD2.
The percentage of registered Republicans decreases from 37 percent in the current district to 34.7 percent in the new district. The number of registered Demo-crats increases to 34.1 from 31.9 percent. The number of voters registered as neither Democrats or Republicans - mainly independents - will stay steady at just over 31 percent. There will be 40,000 fewer registered voters in the new district. |

Tuscon. . That house district has little chance of electing a republican with the pity party endorsment from Giffords.
There are three house districts that will almost always go democrap in this state. That's one of em |

I was hoping Frank Antenori would have gotten the R nomination. I think he would have been a better candidate to run against Barber.

So, compare OUR brady scorecard (0) to Conneticut's (58). Me thinks you got some work to do AT HOME before coming to tell us how to run our state. I'm just saying...

And it wasn't even all of Pima County. We're stuck with La Raza Grijalva in this half. The insane are running the asylum. Still got Connecticut beat.

Yeah I'm from CD 8 and I'm pissed Kelly lost, and it wasn't even close. If some libs didn't vote Green it would have been worse, and yes I think Antenori would have been a much better choice.
But to get called out by a dude from CT really puts the salt in the wound. We're still not as fucked up as the NE here in CD 8, so we have that going for us. |

Heeven Dave Sitton would have been better. Don't know enough about McSally though. In the primary I voted for Frank.

IIRC it was a 6 point spread... with the sympathy votes and other factors that is very close.
Also note that with the re-districting that is happening there will be another chance soon. Richard |
