Check out Long Rifles Inc. They are out of Sturgis, SD. They have been running a group buy on this perpetually on Snipers Hide. Pricing is fair and turnaround is pretty quick.

defensive creations does an execellent job
i know by experience 1 of 200 top smiths in the country. he has done over 35 rifles and pistols for me and my guys try him 1texan |

average price to rebarrel is 800+
if u want less cost, do a rem-age barrel for 350 and u can install your self |

Im near Athens in SE Ohio. I dont have action yet nut leaning towards a Surgeon or Defiance. .308 chamber.

If you are going to use a nice custom action, I would strongly recommend a 6.5. You aren't terribly far from Rayner's of TVP and 308 just isn't as much fun to shoot.
