If you've ever thought you would like to try out a handgun match, there is no better than GSSF for beginners (as long as you can shoot a Glock)
No running around
No reloading on the clock
No holster or competition equipment needed
Cliff's notes on rules and divisions:
The cost after the membership is $25 per division you want to shoot. Divisions are as follows:
Civilian Amateur - any stock doublestack model, full size, compact, or subcompact excluding the long slide models.
Guardian - same as am civ except only for LE and Military
Competition - open to any double stack stock model including the long slide guns.
Heavy Metal - .45 and 10mm guns except again, the long slide models.
Subcompact- double stack subcompact models.
Major sub- lower capacity division for the 36, 29, or 30.
Pocket- lower capacity division for the 42 and 43
Unlimited- anything goes as long as it's built on a Glock frame (including red dots, compensators, etc).
It's suggested to bring at least 100rds for each high cap division and 60 for pocket or major sub.
