BOHICA The community relations commission that has been "agreed" to based on the Fed's findings that our police are too aggressive has been formed. One of the members Reverend Jimmy Gates is a felon, convicted on bribery/public corruption related charges 8 years ago, and mortgage fraud (to the tune of $5.1 million) just 3 years ago. Apparently Mayor Jackson is aware of his criminal history and just doesn't seem to care: A statement sent to Fox 8 News read in part, "I was aware of Reverend Gates’ past conviction, but what speaks louder than his conviction is his decade of service to the City of Cleveland.” Mayor Jackson said, "He represents those who have made a mistake, paid their debt to society and used that lesson to empower others..” His decade of "service" during which time he was whoring out his position and power as the assistant chief of the Division of Water for personal gain. What could go wrong with this guy Mr. Mayor? He said that he feels bad about it so I guess it's okay right? Jimmy Lee Gates, 50, the highest ranking official convicted in a long-running federal investigation into corruption in the department. Gates was an assistant chief who oversaw about 200 workers until he resigned in late October. He had worked for the department for 26 years. Pleaded guilty Dec. 7, 2007 to splitting bribes with another city worker. Gates was sentenced to 19 months in prison. http://www.waterwebster.com/ClevelandOhiowaterinvestigation.htm A top-level Cleveland Water Department manager and a retired water supervisor face charges that they took thousands of dollars in bribes from a contractor in return to approving inflated invoices. An indictment unsealed Thursday in U.S. District Court accused Assistant Division Chief Jimmy Lee Gates and maintenance supervisor Oscar Wells of splitting a $40,000 bribe from contractor Liberator Noce in 2003. So now convicted felons are going to advise the police on how to better do their job. On the other side of the coin, it seems Chicago is close to calling in troops rather than let their police do what needs to be done.

While coming home this evening I see that the riots have started in Cleveland for the 1 year anniversary of MB....
Thankfully I was well armed and driving my Zombie Apocalypse Vehicle.
