Match has been cancelled due to standing water in the bays. Hope to see everyone in May.

For those of you who do not know we have a multigun match a few times a year at our club. Tentative dates for this year are April 18th, May 9th, June 6th, July 11th, Sept 19th and Oct 10th. The matches are held at the U.C.O.A. club in Findlay, OH located at 6943 Twp Rd 243. The matches start at 12:00 p.m. and setup starts at 8 a.m. Chamber flags are required for all long guns. If you do not have them they will be available for $1.00 each. The match will consist of multigun stages consisting of rifle/shotgun, shotgun/pistol or pistol/rifle. NO STEEL CORE AMMO IS ALLOWED. Due to a shortage of ammo be sure to take advantage of our rim-fire caliber pistol and rifle division. This is a great chance for shooters to become more familiar with all of their weapons and put them into realistic scenarios. The maximum round count for the matches is 150 rounds rifle, 100 rounds pistol 40 rounds birdshot and 10 slugs. These are maximum numbers for estimated round counts for the matches. New shooters should arrive by 11:30 for a safety overview. We will be using the 100 yd range for the rifle stage every match this year. Anyone that has questions can feel free to email  [email protected]

There are divisions for shooters as most 3-gun matches have them. A note on the divisions your division will be determined by the equipment you are using.  When you register online for the match you will be asked to note what class that puts you in.  This will not effect who you shoot with.  It is simply used in the scoring to group shooters together by classification so scores can be compared more easily to the division you are actually competing against. This is all done in the spirit of more even friendly competition. I would also like to have everyone bring a rifle, pistol and shotgun to use for the matches. In the past we have allowed people who don’t have shotguns to use their pistols, however this will not be the case this year as some shotgun stages will not be able to be shot with your pistol. We are doing this in an attempt to design shotgun stages that are fun , challenging and specific to the shotgun platform.  Our plan is also to offer a number of true 3 gun stages which will obviously require the use of shotgun.  This is not done in an effort to exclude shooters who are without a shotgun but rather to improve the quality of the stages and the level of competition at the match.  DO NOT let the lack of a shotgun stop you from coming out to shoot.  3 gun is a great sport and if you are interested in giving it a try I guarantee you will not be disappointed. If you do not have a shotgun I am sure I have a spare or another shooter will let you borrow theirs so bring some 12Ga. Birdshot and some slugs with you or just know that you may not be able to shoot some stages.

There has been a core group of individuals who have been helping for the last 6 years and we need to add to that group for our setup and tear-down crew so for 2015 the shooters will dictate our matches. I need at least 5 people to volunteer for the setup and tear-down for every match by the Sunday before each match. If I cannot find at least 5 people the match for that month the match will be cancelled. For the matches to continue into the future we will need some people to help with by volunteering to be Range Officers for the matches. If you are interested in being a range officer we would provide you with a training class. Range Officers are the people that run everyone through the stages in a safe manner. We will need at least 5 Range Officers every match. The more Range Officers we have will allow us to rotate them throughout the year. If you are interested in becoming a range officer or in helping to setup the match please email me back a.s.a.p.

All of our matches require pre-registration and if you want to shoot our match you will need to visit our website to register. The website is located at U.C.O.A. Multigun website  You will need to register for the match by clicking on the schedule and registration tab. We are limiting the matches to 50 shooters so we can move along quickly and allow the match to run smoother for everyone. Please try to register for the matches as early as you can to ensure you will have a spot in the match.
The cost of the matches for 2015 will be $30.00 per shooter. If you setup and tear down you shoot for free. This will be limited to the first 5 shooters that sign up on the forum Monday after the match. All shooters will pay $30.00 at the beginning of the match. If you helped setup and tear down after everything is put away I will refund your $30.00.

Also new this year a special thanks goes out to Matt Smith for creating our new website and forum. Please check it out at http://www.ucoa3gun.com all of the information about our matches is available on this site. The site also has pictures and videos of previous matches along with rules and results from all of the matches will be posted on this site. The forum which is very easy to register for will be a great place for shooters of our matches to get together and discuss any issues about the matches.

New for 2015

U.C.O.A. Multigun is pleased to announce that we will be a member of the 3 Gun Nation Club Series. Anyone that is interested may become a 3 Gun Nation member at http://www.3gunnation.com Once you are a member you will be able to gauge your skills shooting against people from around the world. Every time you shoot a 3 Gun Nation qualifier your scores will be submitted and logged on the 3 Gun Nation website. Each of the first 100 clubs to join the club series has the opportunity to earn a prize for their club. Every time you shoot a 3 Gun Nation Club series match you earn an entry for the prize. YOU DO NOT NEED TO JOIN 3GUN NATION TO SHOOT OUR MATCHES.
We will also be utilizing electronic scoring this year. We will be going back to a squad based match for this year also. As much as everyone loved the state match style it was not working for the RO's. If you have not been to the club in a while you have not seen all of the work that has been done by the U.C.O.A. club on all of the old bays. We have widened and lengthened the bays and have also added additional bays. Feel free to email me back with any questions at [email protected].

If the RO is nice I will shoot the suppressed 9mm instead of the 7.5" 5.56 sbr with a muzzle brake

Hope to make it up there a couple times this year. Good to see more dates added to the schedule.

Seems like fun.  I haven't shot much, lately, but I'd like to try to make it out to a match, or two.

Oops, I think you flagged your hand.... stage DQ.

I love my 7.5, you never have to worry about a reshoot the RO just gives you what you want because they don't want to endure the pain a second time.
