My son may be in town next weekend. I know that he plans on stopping in Ashtabula County on his travels, but I'm not sure when he'll pass through.

First, thanks to Greyguy and "V" for coming out and helping with weedeating and mowing even though they couldn't make it to the rescheduled event. Also, Greyguy provided chamber flags...again. Engineer, thanks for coming out the weekend prior to the first attempt.

I hope everyone stayed hydrated, We went through 3 cases of water as well as 7 gallons of lemonade. That doesn't count what individuals brought themselves.

Thanks to everyone who shared their goodies with the kids. We had the most 4-H'ers we've ever had, six families showed up. I know some were "persistent" in their requests, thanks for understanding and being accommodating. These kids are the future of our country and the 2nd Amendment. I know I bought out just over 2500 rds of .22 and the only stuff left, was the stuff we found on the ground that had been dropped. I know others brought several bulk packs as well.

On another note, how does Sat. Sept 19th look for a "budget gun" shoot? I'd say $200 and under purchase price. If you bought an AK for 200 15 yrs ago bring it out, same with SKS's.

Finally, I forgot to see who won the "most Horse Flies in your car" contest. Anyone care to share their numbers?

9/19 is good for me, I'll make sure that it stays that way. >$200 is going to be tough for me though. I think that the 10-22 qualifies but I don't know if anything else in the safe does. >$300 would open up a few more options for me.

On horseflies, I always end up bringing one or two back home with me whin I visit.

Safe1, THANK YOU for hosting another awesome Grub n Gun!

You and your wife go above and beyond every year to make this event a boatload of fun for everybody.

It was good to see the Ohio HTF gang. Those of you who were not able to make it were definitely missed.

The kids were certainly not shy about asking to shoot! I was extremely impressed by how polite, respectful, safe, and appreciative all the kids were. If this group is representative of the next generation of shooters and 2A supporters, I'm hopeful about our future.

I'm 100% in for a budget gun shoot in September. I think it's a fantastic idea.

And Greyguy, just so you know... from what I could tell, all thumbs remained intact this year.

I'll be back in a bit to post some pics.

Sorry I missed out on the July shoot but we had a good time at my dad's 80th.
9/19 sounds like a good time, should be a bit cooler then.
+1 on the $300 limit, although to be honest I think I only have one gun in the 2-300 range.
And that's going back to the factory tomorrow because it fell apart . .

Plenty of other options left.

Hope so, my SKS-M hasn't been out in a while, I think she needs to play. Probably the 91/30 too. Just sold a Nagant revolver. Maybe a NE Handi-Rifle, the rest will probably be 22's.
