At work they have a plasma table. What size/shape/thickness of steel plates would you like? View Quote I just received my order of AR500 1/2" thick targets from Wideners yesterday. I ordered two silhouettes, a couple of round and some woodchuck targets. If you're offering, round or square gongs of various sizes that can take hits from rifles would be great. If you want to get creative, make whatever you want, we'll shoot it. I think we are going to go with color coded targets this year. So if yours are only good for handgun, .22 and shotgun, that would be fine as well. My old steel is starting to have pocking issues from steel core stuff. I would prefer the new ones not end up in that condition. Thanks for the offer. |

Water jet is the best for cutting AR500 because there is no heat. I'm not sure how plasma would effect it. Do you have any AR500? View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Do you have any AR500? I'm going to talk to my buddy who works up at the docks. He might be able to get AR400 cutting/wear edges from off the loaders and dozers. |

All we can get is mild steel Wouldn't last very long.
Might work for .22 though. |

I'll just say mild steel doesn't stand much of a chance, and could actually send rounds back at us if it gets pocked up. We usually have to rebolt the swinging AR500 every cease fire and maybe every other cease fire, add new chain. That said, we do have a few .22 at about 25yds for the kids and others with .22's |

i have 3 steel plate 3/8 cold rolled steel i have shot 500g bullets at full power out of a S&W 500 i have hit with 12 gauge slugs 44mag and everything under. All though rifle ammo just blows holes in it like hot knife though butter

I will find out whats going on with the leg on March 26th. If the plates and screws set correctly, they are just going to either put me in a full cast or a boot. If they didn't set correctly or anything, then it looks like another surgery to fix them. I will keep yall updated.

In a walking boot, just not walking yet. I start trying to walk on the 21st of may and go back to the VA mid June. I will be out there for sure, but I wont be staying the whole day like I usually do, just don't want to put that much stress on the leg. I am working on bringing a special toy but its a top secret surprise!

Outstanding. Just let me know the price so I can have cash on hand! Safe, are people still camping out? My wife has a girls night with our veteran running team in Ashtabula so it may just be easier for me to stay out that way. Thanks, Douglas |

Sure why not, there is a fire ring up by the house and you can use our shower if you want.

Need any clean up done beforehand? Have weedeater/will travel Same here - would be happy to help come and prep the range. Work-party! I need to see what the AllStar game schedule looks like, but would the afternoon of Sat. June 20th work as a potential work day? I have a picnic table that could use some carpentry work. There are a few target stands that could be built (welding). Of course, knocking the weeds down on the backstop would be a good thing. I am still hoping to extend the backstop, but it's been a bit wet here. Hopefully the spotty showers will by pass us this week. |
|
I have a golf outing the 20th, but any other day I'm more than happy to help. I can bring a weed trimmer and a welder.
|
|
Unfortunately I have to work on the 20th...
ETA: I might be able to help out a bit later in the day but wouldn't be able to be there in the morning. |
|
Lets make it 2:00pm on the 20th for whoever can make it then. I have 4-H in the morning and sometimes we go past noon if we shoot longer and depending on which group cleans the guns.
I have tools, although my cordless drill is not that great, I have a corded DeWalt, as a backup. I hope we get some dry weather, it's rained hard here today and the extended forecast ain't look'n good either. |
