Ok after checking a little more it looks like I'm going to be staying in either Zanesville or Cambridge.
Which place is the best?
I'm leaning towards Zanesville. I don't go clubbing, just want a decent place to stay and some choices in food.
Of course a Walmart is a must.

It's not going to make much difference. Cambridge is closer though. You're going to be bored out of your mind if you don't go hunting or something during this time of the year though.
There's a Cabelas in Columbus and one in Wheeling. Take your pick either right or left on I-70.
Salt Fork. Again, not much to do there this time of year but hunting or banging some bar slags at the lodge.
Some museums in Marietta. Nice little town, but it's hard to spend more than a couple of hours there this time of year. Summer is different.
I spent much of my younger years (spring, summer, fall) outside of a little town called Beverly on the Muskingum river not far from there.
It's a bit of a trek, but if you have the time, shoot out 70 to Wright-Pat and go to the Air Force Museum. It's by far one of the best things that you can see here. It's well worth it. It will eat up a full day and that doesn't include the drive.
