When I was down in Florida we frequently shot two gun (carbine/pistol) matches through the US Carbine Association. Do you guys know of any regular two gun matches in Ohio? Preferably North East or Central Ohio. Thanks!

ECCL does a monthly action oriented two-gun shoot.  They are more north/central OH.

Cool I'll have to check them out. I might be able to make the October match if I am not jet lagged too badly from my trip to the Philippines.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the ones that I have been able to make it to.  I try to go each month but often end up with schedule conflicts.  I haven't been to one this year since late spring.

There were some reviews from other members a while back that these matches were a little more "entry-level" for lack of a better word, and I can see where that sentiment comes from.  The round count is usually pretty low and the targets that I have seen have all been inside of 100yds.  That said there are often problems that force you to think a bit, like no-shoots downrange from targets (gets you thinking about accounting for what is beyond your target), moving/disappearing targets, cover that forces you to account for the height of your optic above the bore (so that you don't shoot the barricade), etc.  I have always had a good time at these shoots and have learned some valuable lessons about how to interface better with my carbine.  Also the guys who run it are some of the nicest people that you could hope to meet, they are great with new shooters.

I would say that everything you stated is true...It's not a "GREAT" match but I would give it a solid "GOOD" on a scale of crappy to great.

You just missed our Three Gun Match.  In October, we have a sniper rifle match, and a tactical shotgun match.  Most months, we alternate between carbine / pistol, and shotgun / pistol:

http://www.ashlandlakegunclub.org/tactical/index.html

Our carbine matches run from contact distance to 200 / 300 yards, when we're feeling froggy.  We have one or two "sniper" type matches a year for the heavier guns.
