THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT So, like the title says, it is November. Have you cleared your calendar on the Saturday after Thanksgiving day? Have you checked your cold weather gear and sighted your rifle? If not, you better get on it. I'll be there. ![]() |

I've been wanting to get to one of these for a while and I'm off that day. The link you posted says that you can shoot anything 308 and lower. I would really like to shoot my Garand there and several of the guy's in my NG unit say that you can. Does anyone know if 30-06 is allowed?

I've seen guys working those 8 round clips on Garands there before. It'll take you five clips to complete the course of fire.

I shot a Garand at one of their popup shoots a few years ago. They may have changed the rules since then, but i doubt it.

I'm always at every rifle pop-up.
My new SBR will be there, as will my 20" A1... and hopefully the Garand as well. |

I have only been out to camp perry once over the summer and bought my AR there... Anyone know if all the vendors will be open for this event?

No, no vendors, the CMP store is closed on Saturdays, and it will probably be very cold. For me, I have to leave my home at 5AM to be there for this, but I wouldn't miss it! |

I think the CMP store is open on Saturdays. From their website: http://www.thecmp.org/northstore.htm I'm planning on going up this Saturday to pick out a Garand. ETA: Sorry, I just saw the shoot was the Saturday after Thanksgiving. They are indeed closed that day, but are usually open on Saturday. |

I'll be there.
For those that asked, Grands are OK. I've seen several there and saw one guy clear the course with a BAR. |

I will be there along with a couple co-workers and I have my 8 year old son shooting this course for his first time.
We've been working on reloading and clearing malfunction drill so he can give it his best shot. He is pretty exceited about it, in spite of the fact that we'll have to get up at zero dark thirty and then drive two hours to get there. None of his friends at school have ever done anything so cool. |

My son and I have attended everyone since it started back in 2006. We'll be there again this year. .30 caliber and under is the rule. .303 British, 30/06 and .308 are all acceptable. I've shot them all there. Taking the BAR this year. Always cold and always a good time. Plus it raises money for a good cause.
