I got mine in Ashtabula county as well. It took about 2 days. No problems at all.

Applied in Hamilton County on Monday, picked up permit the following week on Tuesday in mid-November 2008. Hamilton County is now in a budget crisis and the Sheriff's office is hardest hit. This function of the office may now be affected as well, slowing down the process, I'm not sure what the CCW situation is now.

I went to Warren Co. I applied on Thurs. morning, Jan. 23rd and received it in the mail Sat the 25th. That's what I call service and I didn't have to drive all the way back down there.

I went to Stark County. Turned in my paperwork on a Thursday and recieved a letter in the mail 2 Saturdays later saying my permit was ready for pickup, they had been unable to contact me by phone. I called them on Monday to set up an appointment to pick it up. The next available appointment they had was that friday. So, 22 days from drop off to pick up.

Cincykid I hope mine is 14 days. I turned everything in on march 5 2009. Was told from one person 1-3 weeks then another said 3-4 weeks. I have a big back surgery coming up on the 23rd. Sure would be nice to have it before then. I almost took it to Warren county but changed my mind at last minute. Come on Sherriff Leis lets get these things a movin' Got the call7 days later. picked it up on the 8th day. I got nothing to complain about

Hancock county for a wood county resident took 3 days.

Also, the website is down. It appears as though the domain name expired.

Turned in application on 4/7/09 - Had to return the next day and redo the fingerprints since they said they didn't get a good enough read on the electronic scanner. Plus had to update my current home address with the DMV for em to process it.

Got a call today (4/21/09) around 1:40PM saying it was ready. So 8-9 business days. The lady at the Lucas CO. Sheriffs desk for ccw permits had a huge stack of other peoples permits too.

All of the sheriffs I dealt with during the process were very nice except the one who actually took my app etc. She seems grumpy... Probably because everyone and their brother are applying & she now has to actually work!

I was told Erie County was really fast. I turned mine in Monday, Aug 17th. Today is the 25th and no word yet.
