Ashland County -  4 weeks.

They said it took longer because Richland county (where I previously lived) is understaffed or something.

Montgomery county said they would call me back in 45 days to pick up my renewal. That's better than the 12 week wait just to make an appointment in Butler.

Update: took 30 days to get a call back my permit was ready. On the upside their pickup desk is open 24/7.

Hamilton county. Had to wait a month to get my appointment with the sheriff due to high volume though. I guess technically you can add that time in to make my wait a month and 36 hours.

I think that's the problem here in Franklin county as well. It took over a month to get an appointment for my renewal (submitted June 28).

Just a funny side note: They have a good group of galls there. While I was waiting in the office one of the girls got on the phone and asked if the 'Devil' was there, then hung up. I took a seat at her table and asked if I heard that right. She looked at me and said "shhh here he comes", and in walked this deputy with a real unfriendly look on his face. We both just about lost it.

Applied for mine last year. Was in the Reserves so I tried bypassing the training by proving my military service. Summit county (my residence) wanted me to go through a ton of hoops to prove it.

I drove my happy ass down to the Portage Sherrifs Office in Canton. Drove down the following week to get it.

EDIT: I meant Stark. Apologies.

I renewed at Wayne Co. Sheriff's today at 9am.  Left at 9:20, permit in hand.  As long as all you paperwork is in order, it is quick.  There was a couple in there before me on their first permit.  Wayne takes 24hrs on a new applicant, and mails the permit to your residence.

Medina is 6-8 weeks out.
