Does it accept standard capacity magazines (20 rounds)?

What designation are you selling it by?

I would have to look to be sure but the BM59 was banned by name/designation in the original '86 ban.

M1 Garands and M1A's/M14's weren't as long as they had a CA approved muzzle brake.

Be safe and thank you for not being a sniveling pussy ass backing down to the sorry ass CA government! I wish more companies would do everything they could to sell firearms here.

That and not sell any firearms to any state agency. Would be nice to see every firearms manufacturer tell the CA government to fuck off!

Springfield Armory BM59 was what was banned.

Will you be selling the 10 round BM59 mags as a separate item? How about the muzzle piece?

This.  Extra mags would be nice.

I think this is a great deal for me, I live in MD and i wanted a BM59, but it has too many scary features. I will be purchasing this shortly.

I like but would drop the bi-pod.  Do M1A mags work in a BM59?

The stock has been modified to allow a conformal profile when folded.

The bipod folds away, and is removable if you don't want to have it on.  They should have gone with the E-style compensator that is made to work with standard BM-59s.  I wish someone was making the actual 10-round mags for these; originals are really rare and while I have 20-rounders, if I have to use a 10-rounder, or just want to use one, I don't want the bulk of a 20-rounder.

And no, M-14 mags do not work in a BM-59.

My own thought is to try to find the para tricomp and keep the tricomp disconnected while in CA.  Tough to find and will cost me, though.

Tim Shufflin can build up a BM-59 parts kit on a modified Garand receiver such that it uses M-14 magazines.  I think he calls it the BM-14 or something like that.
