If i have installed my CMMG 22LR adapter in the upper receiver, does this make my AR15 Assault Rifle no longer a assault rifle since the rifle can only shoot rim fire ammo/

Depends on the regs.  As currently drafted, yes.

IMO, much safer to install a rimfire upper.

This BS still has not been completed anyway, unable to register, are they going to start the clock for the time they release the "rules"?

Regs withdrawn, so until we see the new regs, we will not know.

Let's pretend:

a)  I have an assault rifle and do not want to register it.

b)  I install a rimfire adapter into the upper to avoid the illegalities associated with not registering the assault rifle.

c)  If I ever feel a need to use the rifle, I can always put the centerfire bolt back in.

However true c) may be, you perpetrate a felony (unregistered assault rifle).

God help you if you ever actually use the unregistered assault rifle, even in legitimate self defense.

Still, it's better to be judged by twelve than carried by six, right?  This State is really SCREWED UP!
