Yes, We need to hit rock bottom before this state will change. The faster we hit it the faster we can change it. Increased crime is a plus for doing that.

I tried to warn you all about prop 47. It passed and it fucked us.
This is another one that will increase crime and insurance premiums. |

People read that violent offenders would still be charged with felonies, without reading the legal definition of what a violent offender is. Rape by intoxication is not even a violent offense. |

Definitely a no on this one. People were fooled by 47 and are. Is realizing that criminals are getting away with so much more now because they know they won't be prosecuted for it.
Instead of lighter sentencing lets go the other way and make it harsher sentencing. When criminals are afraid of the punish they will cease to commit the crime. Right they laugh because they know nothing happens to them. |

I don't even want to have to shoot one of these career violent criminals or otherwise entangle my life with theirs. The court visits to testify end eventually but the concern that the predator's family or gang members will seek retribution never really ends. It lowers at times but never ends. Ask me how I know? |

Conviction of these bastards is not easy or cheap. It takes a lot of good police work and tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars to bring them to justice. These are the sorts of low life sons-of-whores who our cops have to deal with and this proposed law just makes their lives more difficult and puts the rest of us at risk. |
