What is the rumor mill saying about the outcome of this law suit?
Will microstamping become the law or will the law be overturned in court? Is a stay in effect preventing the law from being implemented pending the outcome of the law suit? When is a decision expected? Is now the time to go and buy my last few handguns purchased in California? |

I have never regretted having bought the hundreds of magazines back in the 1990's - some for rifles I didn't even own a rifle for yet! The federal government is hamstrung with the republicans in charge but "executive actions" can be as sweeping and unlawful as you can imagine. Stoke of the pen and federal laws are changed by an illegal action by the president and they'll remain that way until the courts overturn the illegal action years and years later. |

This judge is taking his/her sweet time striking this down. For me, it would have been a rather obvious "NO"
1. Firing pins are exceptionally easy to replace. 2. The technology is unreliable. 3. It's really hard to print on steel casings. 4. A perp can just go to the range, grab someone else's brass, and leave it at the scene of the crime. 5. It's an effective ban on handguns because nobody can reliably put the tech into production. |

Let me add to that list, one pierced primer and the stamp on the firing pin is useless/gone.
