Well, I got my lay-off notice.

Now I must see what my pay might be, no that I'm back "in the mkt".

Any ideas?

Thanks for your info, if any.

Sorry to hear.
I have seen some machinist jobs on craigslist of all places. Career builder keeps sending me email updates for machinist openings but about 98% seem to be temp agencies and don't list pay scales.

LA Area: $28 for Temps with MasterCAM & CNC 3-AXIS Mills.

But I have heard of $36 at the BIG Aerospace firms....

Los Angeles.

"Hearing about" $36 is one thing:

The higher you go (like everthing else) the FEWER places you find
that pay that rate.

Alot of feedback I'm getting is that the BIG Aerospace get hundreds of applications
for just ONE opening.

My phone has been ringing off the hook, but I won't work for less than $28, UNLESS
the "benefits" make up for the gap. It certainly will take time, which I have....
