Arizona: Ban Recording Cops without Their Permission
An Arizona state lawmaker wants to make criminals out of some people who take videos of cops questioning or arresting someone.
The proposal by would bar shooting video within 20 feet of any “law enforcement activity” unless the officer first gave permission. A first offense would carry a $300 fine, with subsequent violations potentially sending someone to jail for up to six months. Daniel Pochoda with the American Civil Liberties Union says SB1054 is a violation of First Amendment rights. And attorney Daniel Barr who handles media issues questioned the need for such a restriction. As written, it would make a criminal out of those who take out a cell phone to videotape their own questioning by police as, by definition, they would be within 20 feet of what’s happening. Colorado: School District About To Begin Handing Out Satanic Literature To Children
A school district in Colorado is planning on distributing Satanic literature to middle and high school students next month.
The group will hand out the Satanic and atheistic material on April 1. Some of the material has titles like “Top 10 Public School State-Church Violations and How to Stop Them,” “What’s Wrong with the Ten Commandments?” and “The Satanic Children’s BIG BOOK of Activities.” The Assistant Superintendent of the district, Kurt Clay, said if they are going to be distributing literature from the Boy Scouts and the 4H clubs, they have to make all types of information available. “This is the other side of that,” he said. “The policy says we cannot discriminate what is handed out, we just have to follow the process.” View Quote More |

California: Another School District Allows Staff to Carry Guns on Campus
Last week, the Kingsburg Joint Union High School District, located in Fresno County, approved the policy following months of review, reports the Fresno Bee.
The superintendent is reported to have said the new policy will create "a safe environment for students and staff members." Up to five members of the faculty with concealed-carry permits will be allowed to bring their weapons to school, after an application process, a review of their discipline records and school conduct. Nobody on school grounds will know which five staff members have been chosen to carry guns, school officials say. Those allowed will also be required to take firearms training twice a year. According to the Bee, while the state Department of Education doesn't track the schools that allow guns on campus, the Kingsburg superintendent pointed to the Folsom Cordova Unified School District. Washington State: Bans Pork
WASHINGTON STATE SCHOOL DISTRICT Bans All Pork Products From School Menu After MUSLIMS Threaten Lawsuit If They Don’t
This is not the first public school in America that has become ‘sharia-compliant’ by removing pork products from its food service, in order to accommodate Muslim supremacist religious demands. An angry parent, Dave Brabo, spoke with the school’s Director of Nutritional Services, Tom Ogg, who informed him that “he was well aware of the issues (and the slippery slope) with the changes to menu options due to Muslim religious beliefs, but he said lots of Muslims had complained and threatened the school by reporting them to the U.S. Department of Education.” Mr. Brabo was told that if the school system doesn’t “accommodate the Muslim dietary needs that their federal and state funding would be cut or pulled.” He was told that the school system may be doing this in order to better accommodate incoming illegal alien Muslim refugees. The administration also told Mr. Brabo that they were obligated under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to “reasonably accommodate” this religious group’s needs. Washington State: Seattle Mayor Wants Interest Free Housing For Muslims
In an effort to appease followers of Islamic Sharia law, Seattle Mayor Ed Murray is searching for ways to help them buy houses. According to Sharia law, muslims are forbidden to pay interest on loans, thus making it impossible for most of them to buy a house. Mayor Murray wants to meet with lenders to solve this “problem”, and possibly put the rest of the public on the hook for the debt.
The Puget Sound wing of the Business Journal reports: One suggestion would help followers of Sharia law buy houses. That’s virtually impossible now because Sharia law prohibits payment of interest on loans. The 28-member committee recommended the city convene lenders and community leaders to explore options for increasing access to Sharia-compliant loan products. More and more lenders are offering Sharia-compliant financing, according to a USA Today report. The sector has grown to more than $1.6 trillion in assets worldwide over the past three decades, and analysts see potential for continued growth as the number of Muslims in the United States and Europe grows. It’s unclear how many Muslims in Seattle would benefit from Murray’s plan. The Washington state chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) estimates more than 30,000 Muslims live in the greater Seattle area, and Chapter Executive Director Arsalan Bukhari on Tuesday said it’s “fairly common” for some not to seek loans. According to neighbors, Rupert Harris a long time resident with documented mental problems, was seen luring a stray dog into his yard with bacon. When Harris finally got the dog into his backyard, he distracted the pit bull with bacon and began sodomizing the animal. However, it did not go as planned.
“I could see Rupert from my bedroom window yelling at the dog and calling him ‘pretty boy,’” said Mildred Washington who lived next door. “He gets this dog in his yard and, oh my God, I couldn’t believe what I was watching. While the dog was eating the bacon, Rupert dropped his drawers and tried to stick it in the dog. That’s when it turned around and bit that man’s little d*ck clean off. Damn, I never heard a man scream like that. Looks like he got some sausage with the bacon. That’s when I called 911.” Harris was immediately transported to University Medical Center in Austin where they attempted to reattach what remained of the man’s penis. According to medical reports, they could not reattach the part. Instead, they replaced it with a plastic catheter for urination. Harris remains at the hospital under mental evaluation. View Quote |

Texas: Police officer was convicted of murder for shooting teens trying to steal his car
A Texas police officer was convicted of murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon Tuesday for shooting two teenagers who tried to steal his personal vehicle in March 2016. The officer now faces life in prison, The Dallas Morning News reported.
Johnson was off-duty and in plainclothes at the time of the incident. When he caught them in the attempted theft, they retreated to their own vehicle and fled. Johnson pursued. Johnson rammed the teens’ car off the road and jumped out of his vehicle (while it was rolling into oncoming traffic) and fired his weapon 16 times into the car. Cruz, who was 16, died at the scene after being shot in the head. Rodriguez, also 16, survived wounds to his head and hand, which resulted in the loss of a finger. The teenagers were unarmed at the time, although the defense argued that Johnson was acting out of self-defense because he believed Cruz had a weapon. Investigators portrayed Johnson as acting in rage, saying he shot at the car, then opened the driver’s side door and began firing his weapon inside. Johnson was in violation of department policies by chasing the teens and ramming them with his personal vehicle, his chief said. Johnson did not have his badge or phone with him when he pursued the teens, only his gun. “Ken Johnson was in a rage,” said prosecutor Jason Hermus. “And how do we know that? Because he decides only to grab his gun. He commits himself to the outcome.” Johnson’s sentencing hearing will begin Jan. 8. View Quote Source |

Oregon: Wants Semiautomatic Rifles Confiscated.
In Oregon, a new initiative from a religious group is taking it a step forward. They want to ban any semiautomatic rifle with a detachable magazine, and that can hold more than ten rounds. They also want current owners of these firearms, law-abiding Americans, to take them out of the state, register them, sell it to a FFL dealer, destroy it, or turn them over. That’s right, folks—full-blown gun confiscation. Right now, the anti-gun church group is collecting signatures. View Quote |

Washington State - Goes All In On Gun Control
Their governor just signed 7 new gun ban and confiscation laws. HB 1465 requires an additional background check for gun buyers who currently possess a concealed carry license. HB 1739 prohibits possession of untraceable “ghost guns” which include plastic guns printed on 3D printers and guns that do not have a serial number, which are usually acquired through a DIY kit. It also bans the transfer of files for 3-D printable guns. HB 1786 authorizes police to confiscate guns from those served with restraining and protective orders. SB 5027 expands “red flag” confiscation to juveniles under age 18, permitting an extreme risk protection order to be filed against them and barring their firearms possession for up to one year, renewable on an annual basis. SB 5181 implemented a six-month gun rights suspension from anyone under 72-hour psychiatric detainment permitted by Washington’s Involuntary Treatment Act, which is not decided by a judge but by a medical expert. In the past, those laws pertained only to people who had been committed by a judge. SB 5205 bans gun ownership to those with a history of violence and found incompetent to stand trial but not committed, where the current law has only banned guns from those declared incompetent and involuntarily committed by a judge. SB 5508 strengthens concealed carry license requirements, requiring applicants to undergo a fingerprint-based background check through the FBI in addition to checks through the state databases. “Our state is a leader on #gunsafety but more work is needed to protect our students & the people of WA. That’s why today I am so happy to sign bills that ban untraceable ghost guns, keep guns away from our most vulnerable Washingtonians & improve gun safety overall,” Gov. Inslee tweeted. View Quote |

Texas: Fires Teacher who Tweeted about Illegal Alien Students
FORT WORTH, Texas —
A North Texas school board has voted to fire an English teacher who tweeted that her high school was full of students who are in the country illegally. The Fort Worth Independent School District board voted 8-0 at a special meeting Tuesday night to terminate Carter-Riverside High School teacher Georgia Clark. She has two weeks to appeal to the state. She remains employed with pay in the meantime. Clark had told a district investigator that she had meant the tweet for President Donald Trump’s eyes only and didn’t realize her Twitter postings were public. “Mr. President, Fort Worth Independent School District is loaded with illegal students from Mexico,” read one of the posts linked to her account. “Carter-Riverside High School has been taken over by them.” View Quote |

Virginia: Police Chief Advocates Ban on All Guns at U.S. House “Assault Weapons” Hearing
On Sept. 25, the Democrat-led U.S. House Judiciary Committee held a 3 ½ hour “hearing” entitled “Protecting America From Assault Weapons.” That framing of the issue underscored the erroneous notion that Americans need protection from inanimate objects, rather than from violent criminals who have and always will use any means at their disposal to harm innocent, defenseless people. It also revealed the unfortunate agenda of the proceedings, which was to emphasize politics and finger-pointing over any useful exploration of how Congress might take meaningful steps to improve public safety. Tennessee: Schools Giving Condoms to 7-year-olds.
A children’s elementary school distributed a flyer to children as young as second grade that promoted a clinic hosted by a medical volunteer corps. There was one problem: one side of the flyer advertised “free birth control and pre-pregnancy services” as well as free “implants, pills, condoms and more.” View Quote That provoked the ire of one father of a seven-year-old in the class, Richard Penkoski, who runs the online ministry Warriors for Christ. Last Thursday, according to The Christian Post, he confronted the school board in Sullivan County about the incident at Mary Hughes School in Piney Flats. The flyer discussed the Nov. 1-3 Appalachian Fairgrounds in Gray hosted by the Remote Area Medical Volunteer Corps.
Penkoski told the school board, “What is more, exactly? And why was this given to my seven-year- old? Since when is it the school’s job to give information to my child about birth control? When did the public schools decide they can teach my child issues regarding morality and sex?” Penkoski explained that his outrage was triggered by the flyer putting him in a position where he would have to explain sex to a child he felt was too young to start dealing with the issue. He continued, “I know liberals on this council, specifically, will say something like, ‘Well, schools teach reproduction.’ You are right. They do teach biological facts in regard to reproduction. This flyer is not talking about reproduction. It teaches birth control. I also can’t help but notice that abstinence is not on this list.” View Quote Source |
