We have an opportunity to stay at a friends place off the Matanzas River close to Jungle Hut Beach in early August. My nine-year-old loves to fish and are thinking about bringing the kayak. How is the river fishing? Surf? Pier? Do you have a suggestion for a a reasonable inshore charter that could put us on some fish?

Slug-O runs a good inshore charter somewhat close to there, 40xb just went out with him.
