What do you consider near?
A 1000 yard range in Manatee Co. The Manatee Gun and Archery is not too far. In Pinellas Co. there is Wyoming Antelope Club and various indoor ranges. In Pasco Co the Dade City gun club, another outdoor range. I'm sure there a many, but I have no experience with Hillsborough Co. ranges. |

Shooter's World is nice, if you want long range outdoor, you'll need to travel.

Shooters World has 100 yard indoor rifle and 1K yard is and hour and fifteeen south of Tampa. It is well worth the drive and it's only $20 for the day. Shooters World is $18 and hour for the rifle range.

I shoot a lot of long range 500-1000 yards. I am also a Palma and Highpower shooter. I figure I will be traveling again.

I live 10 miles south of Tampa in Riverview
Manatee is 45 miles south and a easy drive , out to 1k..20$ all day Tenoroc is 45 miles east , mostly interstate 100 yd...12$ all day Dade City Gun Club is about 45 miles north , 100 yd. and mostly interstate...think it is 20$ ...a little small and busy, full of old timers but good guys. |

Range Hours Mon-Sat Hours: 10:00 am – 8:30 pm ET Sun Hours: 11:00 am – 6:30 pm ET Range Fee: $15/hr per person Range: Handgun – 8 lanes, 25 yards, Rifle – 8 lanes, 25 yards & 3 lanes, 100 yards |

Manatee is frustrating if your trying to work on discipline
HP you have Camp Blanding Central Florida Wyoming Antelope and Port Malabar Blanding has E targets and palma also |

There's a guy working on opening a new range in Polk Co....1000 yard plus if I'm not mistaken. Going through the legal motions now. Calling it JTAC Ranch. Spoke to him briefly via email but he didn't go into details about what he'd have to offer....just about the permitting/licensing challenges, etc.
