Gentlemen,
  After 25 years of being a Florida resident, it is time to say my farewell.  Work dictates that I leave my beloved state for Texas.  Yeah, I get it, the guys in the TX hometown forum said the same stuff .  While I am not sad to leave South Florida, I will miss stone crabs, blue water, and all other things Florida.  I will not miss South Florida traffic, channel 7 news, Miami politics, and NY/NE ideas.  

  Good luck men.  Keep up the fight. I doubt the Texans can convert me, and if so I will be back to the Panhandle in 5 years.  Semper Fidelis.

Well, if the Feds snatch me up I'll more than likely be doing Texas too. I love my home State of Florida but alas, our Politicians are scum sucking meatsacks of failure for the most part. 

FL and Texas share so much in common yet we have gone of different paths.

Hopefully North Florida becomes independent and South Florida stops dragging the rest of the State dosn into the Socialist Abyss. Oh well.... my South Florida is dead to me and North Florida ain't that far behind.

Texas is just a more spread out FL, politically speaking.  They're getting a lot of libs moving in from other states, and Mexico, too.  They do have a good Governor but just like our S FL disease affects us they have S TX disease spreading quickly.
