Join me in contacting Senators Portillas political contributors, and let him know what you think of his behavior. Ask them about whether they want to be tied to someone who supports special interests. A vote should be held in the senate regarding Open Carry and Campus Carry.

A few special interest individuals should not trump the rights of the entire citizenry of the state of Florida to protect themselves. Below is an article from John Lott that talks about the fact that "gun free zones" are the only places murders of multiple people take place. Have you actually read the statistical numbers of crimes in John Lott's book 'More Guns, Less Crime' ? 45 of 50 states have open carry. Why is Senator Portilla allowed to keep Florida at the bottom of the list.
