Is that PIE?  If so, I'd love a head's up if ya'll are going to be taking it for a test flight.  I'm right around the corner.  I loved it when the Starfighter used to tool around.

No, we're down in KPGD. I was supposed to be involved in one of the F104 upgrades as well but things fell through at the time.

Screw the 104 and it's lousy GE engines.

Yeah, I told one of my interns that the owner said if they polished all the aluminum they'd get a ride.

Took a few minutes to sink in...

On that note, had a customer in today who showed some reluctant interest in it. Then I remembered he was AF. Turns out he was a F100 driver in SE Asia in '68-?...

He never encountered any of these, he claimed they were mostly hanging around Hanoi, and that they have a shitty range.

Some more quick shots from today:

Technically this is a Lim-5 (A Polish licensed copy)

The cockpit is tight. Uncomfortable for someone my posture 6'2 but doable if needed. The leg room is the biggest issue. Reaching around for controls around you isn't easy, even just sitting on a piece of foam. Strapped into the ejection seat it would be even harder.

That's a big selling point on my proposed touch-screen 10" EFIS PFD/MFD (Primary Flight Display/Multi Function Display) with remote COM and Transponder. Everything is controlled via touch on the instrument panel. Sells itself, no!? Plus we can easily make a shelf suspended from the massive armor plate on the FWD pressure bulkhead for the remote equipment.

Agreed. Come on down Matt, I'll draw up the contract!

Heck, I'll even take pictures of you sitting in it so that someday you can show Monkey Holloway why he was named that way....

No idea. We get a lot of them through our shops, we have a MX contract and do a lot of avionics for them.

I learned to fly in a CAP Bird as a kid in a Cadet Squadron. Fun times.
