Last minute plans; some of the family kids want me to take them to Broward to see Everglades Holiday Park and  the Gator Boys Alligator Show tomorrow.

Anyone ever been there ?

How's their CCW policy, are they gun friendly or not?

Can I carry my everyday large frame pistol, which "might" be spotted by someone who knows what to look for while I'm seated in an airboat, or do I need to bring a "small" gun instead?

Thanks.

It's a county park, so CCW rules are whatever the state rules are. I guess the actual airboat is part of a concession, so it would be privately owned. Were it me, I'd take something easier to conceal as there are a lot of tourists from up North who scare easily.

Concealed means concealed.

I went before with a glock 19 no problem.

Although I usually don't have any issue with printing.

They do not have any no ccw signs..etc up.

Also a side note.  They will take you to feed gators which they have tied up. Kinda sad (For the gator), but your kids will get a kick out of it and be none the wiser.

I went there a few weeks ago and the airboat ride is not exiting. They put you in a big ass airboat with a roof. Try to find smaller airboat ride that is for no more than 6 people.

Took the gang there yesterday and had a great time and the place is gun friendly.

I noticed several guys carrying; nobody cared at all.

I've been wanting to take my kids there for awhile. Have you been to the Miccosukee village? How does it compare?

No, I haven't been to the Miccosukee Village but I bet there is more to see there than at Everglades Holiday Park.

The airboat captain was very entertaining and the gator show was fun for the kids to watch as well as their getting to hold a small gator (5 buck donation per kid required), but since the ride is an hour and the show is only about 15 minutes or so, it's best to take some fishing rods if you want to spend much time there.

Funny thing is; there are sometimes gators in the lake 40 feet behind my house and I get to see them while I drink coffee in the morning and I very live close to the ARM Loxahatchie Wildlife Preserve that is loaded with gators.

But the kids wanted to see the Gator Boys exhibit.

I been to the Indian Village but it has been so long, All I remember was the  alligator wrestling which was pretty much just like the Jungle Queen. The Fry Bread was great though.

Isn't Miccosukee village not gun friendly being on the Reservation?

They might post signs but it isn't illegal to carry there since they are subject to Florida State Law.

Don't carry an automatic knife though because it is against federal law to do so.

I carry in the Indian casinos, but I take extra care to conceal well.

I carry in the casinos also, concealed in concealed. But it's something that I've heard. Its one of the areas of Fl concealed carry that I really don't know well enough
